Hey guys, first post here.

Looking to add an X-wing helmet to the collection, and am trying to track down a decent screen accurate kit.

I'm narrowing down on a DHPFX kit, but wondered how accurate it is? I understand it is a replica sculpt and it certainly appears attentive to detail, but consider me a rivet counter haha Laughing

I was wondering though - how does this compare to an EFX? (I am going off the assumption that the EFX is a 1:1 of the screen used helmets, please correct me if I'm wrong). Does anybody have any comparisons of a DH with an EFX? If the differences are slim it'd be great. If something is different, I might wait until anovos releases theirs and repaint it.

Cheers guys

I use a repainted EFx for my helmet. I love it. However, I would not consider it screen accurate at the rivet counter level. The EFx is made of fiberglass, which is sturdy, and gives the helmet a nice, realistic heft. The originals were vacuformed in two haves with the seam down the middle covered by a strip of styrene. On the EFx lid, that "strip" is molded right onto the helmet. OTOH, the look of the Efx helmet is great. And like I said, if you pick it up, it feels like a flight helmet.

But if you are looking for something more accurate to the film, get one of the kits. I think the Darth Hair kits are really good.
