Hello All,

Thought that I would ask the question here first to see what some of the experts in our group had to say. I was wanting to put together a Jedi Costume roughly based on the tops that were seen on the Jedi Temple Gaurds from the Clone Wars cartoon series. Does anyone see any issues with something like this being an approved Jedi?

Here are some pics from the Jedi Temple Gaurd

Here is the concept I came up with.

If you have not already seen this thread...

take a look:

http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52416

This is a truly stunning costume...
but also one that is not easy...

hopefully many of the questions you have will be answered by the above build....

Thanks for the link, definitely looks to be a challenging build.

My question was more towards if that top design could be used on a generic jedi costume.

Temple Guards are Jedi...and are judged as such...
so...
yes...

Temple Guards are good to go in the Temple....

the costume is one that is REALLY intense...so many layers...and that mask has to be spot on....

not an easy costume...but would be a great long term project

Phyllis,

Would it pass if I were to make the tabbards the traditional style instead of the Y shape in front? Is that what is wrong with the concept?

That would be one thing...
the sketch is a little "hard to read"...

as in...
is the blue part supposed to be the outer tunic?
then you are going for a sleeveless outer tunic with a long sleeved inner tunic

the outer tunic has to be long enough to cover your butt...
this outer tunic appears to only go to the waist.

Hmmm, I did not look at it like that. The sketch is pretty rough. I had intended the blue piece to be just another layer completely open on the sides. Almost like another set of tabbards. I had even played with idea of making them come down further in the front and back.

my advice:

since you are already working on it....
and it is something you like...
try submitting in when you are done (with food capsules, pouches, and lightsaber clip) and run it up the flagpole...
see who salutes..

since you are from my Base...I would not be eligible to judge it.....
so...
see what the other judges have to say..

Wink
