Staging area:
1 Gillette Park
Boston, MA 02210
Type "Intersection of Foundry Street and Dorchester Avenue" into your GPS and it will take you to the parking lot entrance. The entrance to the parking lot is on Dorchester Ave. which is just down the street from the main building.
Arrival Time:
by 10AM - roads closed at 10
Everyone in costume and ready no later than 11:00am.
We will be having a pre-parade briefing while waiting in the Gillette parking lot around 11:30am. Then after the briefing, and once everyone is in costume, we can move to the side for some group photos.
Command Staff approval for costumes:
In order to help boost our overall numbers for this event there will be an option for a 'Command Staff approval' that members and Cadets can follow. The guidelines for this type of approval are:
A) Your costume is complete and meets the requirements set by the CRL for that costume but is not yet approved.
B) If you are going to allow someone else to wear one of your approved costumes so they can march in the parade.
Anyone that falls into one of these categories should send a PM to the NEG CO TBD or AB CO (Freq). Included in your PM should be pictures of the person who will be wearing the costume (full shots of the front, back and both sides). Please note that getting this temporary approval IS NOT the same thing as an official approval by the GML or Costuming Judge. You will still have to submit your costume to the GML or Costuming Judge for membership.
Asking for donations to the NEG/AB Treasury to cover the bus:
This will be paid out of the treasury so that our ride is secured prior to the event. However it would be greatly appreciated if our members make a donation to help replenish those funds. Donations can be made by clicking on the "Donate" button at the top of your screen (preferred) or can be made in person the day of the event. Members from all groups marching with us will be asked to do the same. _________________ Mike Brunco
