Hello everyone,
Last month, I went to Fan Expo Dallas 2015, and spent a lot of time doing Star Wars related stuff. One thing that caught my eye, was the Rebel Legion table. Long story short, I decided I wanted to make a costume and join! This will be my first costume to make and I am pretty excited. I will be doing Mace Windu from the Clone Wars series. For RL purposes, the Generic Jedi General. I'm slowly but surly figuring out how to construct everything, but one thing I am having problems with, is the outer tunic. I've been searching and searching for a tutorial of some sort to help me with this, but I keep running into movie tunic references rather than Clone wars tunic resources. Is there any help/advice someone can give me about this? I know I'm probably going to have to do a lot of sewing and pattern making, but I have no clue on where to start. Any help is appreciated!!

Its like the standard tunic, but it comes down to the knee.

Check out this resource.

I didn't even see that someone responded to this. But thank you! I've looked at the standards several time, and I'm not getting quite the answer I'm looking for. But it definitely does give me some guidance. Again, thank you Smile

I'm no seamstress but what I would do if it were me is take a regular OT find where the bottom seam ends measure from there down to my knees and extend the pattern. Simplistic I know but it might be a place to start. Also since these OT's look to be more vest like I'd take some of the fabric out of the front "flaps" so there is not to much material. I think for something like this you may have to tinker yourself. Bit to find out. I hope you succeed and that some one with more knowledge than I comes by and clarifies what I'm trying to say lol. Good luck may the force be with you

I had my OT tunic extended down to my knees for my general. I made the a forearm tutorial in the Jedi section.

If you have any questions let me know. I have formal and informal CW general.

Is there a tutorial I could use? Or how exactly did you extend it to your knees? Did you remeasure?

My only comment would be that it isn't the standard OT> Look closely at screen caps, and other than Anakin and Obi-Wan, it is a surcoat over an OT with an Obi and tails below the OBI but no tabards.

Hi all,

I'm currently tasked with archiving and moving older topic and found this topic. I would request that we move this to Jedi section, Unless there's images and more details regarding how to make this?

I'll come back to this in 7 days to move it to the relevant section.

feel free to contact me should you require more time to make the tutorial.
