I'm looking at putting this together in the new year and just thought I'd get opinions on some boots. Obviously I'll have to check on how they look when I'm wearing them, but in principle does this look like a workable option? It isn't actual leather, which is what I was worried about.

I don't love the chunky soles, but the faux leather doesn't bother me. As long as it's not shiny and appears leather-like the material is good. We should probably get the opinion of another judge on the clunky soles, however.

I'm afraid those soles will be too chunky. Neutral The soles on the senatorial just aren't that pronounced.

I would be in agreement that the soles are too chunky.

Ok, so how about these? bit of a heel, but the sole is less chunky.

I think those are a much better choice.

Are these too chunky on the sole? They at least don't have the heel...

I actually bought a pair of those for this costume last year. They are about the closest match to the actual boot I have ever found.

There is a slight tread to the bottom of them, but I think they are also a good choice.
