Dear Base
As a newly appointed charity officer, I would like to start implementing processes and procedures that will help us account for all funds raised for charities. My main goal is to identify all charity activities taking place across the world and account for all funds raised, directly and indirectly. Charity is what we are all about so I don't need to highlight how important it is to keep track of our charity work
Let me present you some details and then I will ask you to complete a few things as a base.
Classification of funds raised
Direct fundraising – all initiatives and campaigns started and run by RL members.
Indirect fundraising – campaigns organised by independent charities where RL supported fundraising through costume appearance and was only a part of a larger campaign.
Structure and reporting
- Totals will be published on the main website and updated monthly
- Each base will nominate a representative which will be the point of contact with the LCL
- That Charity representatives will be responsible for collecting information on local fundraising activities and will provide monthly reports on funds raised directly and indirectly including brief summary of what charities were involved.
- A separate topic will be created on each base forum where the reports will be posted and then gathered by LCL
Content on the main charity page
- Funds raised directly
- Funds raised indirectly
- Breakdown by year/base/country/continent
- Charities we’ve worked with
- Upcoming RL Charity campaigns
So... what I need now is..
1. Your base will select the charity representative that will provide me with charity updates.
2. That person should provide a report on funds raised in the past - I know, it will be difficult but try to dig as much as possible.
This should include a breakdown by year which will list what charities you worked with and how much you raised directly and indirectly. Example:

Indirect fundraising:
£100 000 - Dreamflight
2011 - Elstree Base
Direct fundraising:
£400 - Cancer Research

Indirect fundraising:
£130 000 - Dreamflight
2012 - Elstree Base
etc, etc. |
3. Then I would like to get such reports on monthly basis on current fundraising.

I will give it another few days but if no one steps up I will kindly ask the BCO to send me fundraising reports. It is a very important role so I hope there will be a volunteer  |
