Hi All,
after I made many A-Wing Helmets here for other members the time is comming to work on my own A-Wing costume.
First I made all the Hardware like the helmet and chestbox.
The chestbox are very accurate and came from Rob who is a member here.
I clean the box and paint them silver first and the second layer are black.
Than I wipe the black color in some places from to became a used look.
The white plastic part are vacfoamed for the tubing.
The helmet are based on the picture in the book Star Wars costumes from Brandon Alinger. The greeblies are a few original parts and some scratchbuild ones I made based on the pictures I had.It is not complete yet.I will made some decals and one more greeblie for the leftside in the next few days.
Here are pictures.

Very nice! I can see a lot of work has gone into it. Very Happy

Are your vertical lines around the sides of the head painted on or cut in? If they're cut it, how does it effect the structural stability? Did you use a dremel to cut the lines? I'm anxious that it'll make it too flimsy if I cut in the line on mine.

What did you use for the greeblie on the left cheek just next to the black artistic design (not the side that the mic is on)? It looks good and is what I need for my own build.

i have one of franks helmets, and i cut the rear vents as well,it does nothing to the structural integrity.just looks real cool.i measured back from the edgr of the greeblie pit 3 inches, then spaced the cuts 8mm apart.it was a total of ten cuts per side.

Thank you!I complete the helmet with the last greeblie and design the markings for the Blastshield. Than this was printed on Waterslide Decals. It was much to hard to paint them.
