Started working yesterday on my A-Wing belt and today on the ejection harness. Leg loops are not sewn yet but this is what I have so far for my A-Wing uniform. Picture holding the chest box is one I did a few years ago but after looking at it it is not correct so I scrapped it and will start over on a new chest box. The ejection harness and belt are not the same as the ones in the first picture. Wrong size so I made new ones. Second set of coveralls is inside the first set. I had ordered them at two different times and the color is slightly different between the two but I think it will still be ok to combine the two.

Reworked the bottle and hose from my first chest box. Thinking of making the box itself either out of for sale signs as I have seen another builder do on the forums or out of eva foam since it is sitting in the corner of my room gathering dust.

Pretty goods start so far. Nice going. Smile

While the three-piece ejection harness is acceptable under the current standards, just an FYI but the movie-accurate harness is actually just one long piece of webbing that loops around the legs and the ends slide under a metal slide (one on each leg). Just thought I'd mention it. Smile

Thanks. So as it is it would fit within regulation? I should have done the movie accurate version. Will save me some extra sewing time. Well I do still have plenty of webbing. Would just need the slides. Can't see my belt buckle because my boot fell over on it but I have it on my back instead of it on the front.

Scratch needing the slides. Found some in my prop boxes. They are black plastic though.

Yeah, the slides are silver metal. They're pretty cheap on Strapworks, but if you have plastic ones that looks pretty similar, you could probably just spray paint them silver.

Thanks. I'll redo the straps and hit the slides with some silver paint.

On the top picture my boot fell over on it but it is black. The pic where I am holding up the ejection harness and belt is the ones I scrapped. Cut some new webbing for the ejection harness and will pick up some metal slides for them. Since I am wanting to do a B and Y Wing down the line going to recycle the harness for each. Will add a slide to my coveralls under the vest for each minus the B-Wing since it attaches to the vest at the bottom. Can recycle the spats for all three as well when I make them.
