Sent in my submission pics. Wanted to get your opinions. Vest has two blank spots for patches when we figure out what they are suppose to be.

Let me know what you think

Andrew

Nice job. The only thing I notice off the bat is that your hose seems rather stiff, so when you tuck it behind your flak vest it pulls your vest out and makes the vest look like it's loose and hanging off of you. At least I assume the hose is causing that.

Other than that, nice job.

Looks good. I would say is that the top part of your vest seems big, but I can't tell if it's the hose pulling it out and down like Alex said. I use a 3/4" rope for my hose and it hangs nicely. The top part of the vest, while stuffed and bulky, is actually about as big as the A-wing or X-wing flak vest, with the belly pouch stopping above the waist. We should be able to see your belt.
Also, your gaiters seem too tall, but that could also be the angle of the pic. But, overall all nicely done. You shouldn't have a problem getting admitted.

Zach Wagner did that.
He did the Gunner one for me too.
One of these days I need to have him work on a TI for me.

and...
another Chicago area Y-Wing just submitted for judging:

and...
no...

I don't have a helmet...

The chances of me actually wearing this costume more than maybe once or twice is slim to none....
lol..
so I didn't feel I wanted to invest the time and $$ into a helmet that would rarely get worn....

the helmet is optional

Wink
