Ok, figured I might as well try and document my build a little bit as I put my clone together. Ive already done some of the trimming, but I will post pics as I begin assembly.

So far at this point it's begining to go together alot like a stormtrooper. trim the pieces to fit your body, and assemble the 2 halves with connecting strips on the inside of the pieces.

the Biceps

And now the forearms

thanks for taking the time to share your journey...

I think it helps others see the process and how things come together.

Ok, with the demand for clones rapidly approaching...damn clankers Mr. Green

did a little more work on the Captain...

First up, added the final piece to the forearms. there is another connecting strip for the inside that seals the upper part of the forearm where the armor angles back in a bit.

Same as before, cut a piece to fit, glue and clamp into place.

and presto...

More to follow...

Also did some trimming and a little test fitting of the chest and back pieces. Need to adjust a little, final trim, and start to attach them together.

Ok, had a slight set back. I had used the wrong glue to put the biceps together, but i was going to let it go. I picked one to do some measurements, and flexed a bit in my hand. Well the bond started peeling apart. Better now then after ive made them seamless. so i peeled both biceps apart, cleaned off the old glue, and put them back together with plastic weld. After getting them together correctly, drew out my revel and hit the openings with the dremel...they are ready to go now.

After finishing that up, began work on my cod and butt pieces. Had to trim ALOT off of these. once close, i fitted them on while wearing my under armor. I overlapped the 2 pieces together, and made a mark. I then measured what the total amount to be cut was, and split the measurement between the 2 pieces to keep them even.

After trimming them to what I wanted, I cut bonding pieces to connect them. i had to make 2 pieces per side, as there is a bump in on the top for where the belt will sit. I then Glued these pieces on one side of the cod, and opposite side of the butt

Before gluing I made sure the edges of the 2 would meet up as close as possible. now to just slide them together to be glued.

Now Im going to tape them up with the bond peices and ensure a proper fit once more before i glue them together

Once I ensure proper fit, I'll glue them and move to the next task...

Looking great so far! Just a bit of advice on the cod, be wary of the bottom of the front. I had to adjust mine a few times to achieve the proper look. (I suffered more than a few embarrassing comments the first few times I wore it). Check how it looks compared to the top edge of the thighs as you go.

Ok, havent posted anything in awhile here, but i have been doing some work. I basically ripped apart what i had for the cod and Ab, as it really wasnt going to work.
The forearms are pretty much done, just awaiting paint. tried to fill in some spots on my helmet...took forever, and finally have a coat of paint on it. once that cures, ill check my bondo work to see if i need to sand some more.

Pics will be coming soon.
