If I just want to darken the boots, can I use this same paint as the weathering tutorial, and just cover the whole boot??

thats what I was thinking to do. I didn;t buy these because of color.
if they can be evenly painted to a dark color then I would buy them.
PM the pandatrooper and ask him for comment on this thread. I think it would work.

maybe this paint comes in brown ("duplicolor" vinyl and fabric paint) there are many colors.
http://www.ehow.com/how_2319849_spray-paint-vinyl-simulated-leather.html

there is also "rustoleum" vinyl paint. and a few other brands at the hardware store.
find a paint that will stick to vinyl and not crack when the boot bends.
search "vinyl upholstery paint".
upholstery paint is used to restore faded motorcycle seats and jet ski seats.
it does not crack when you sit on it.

I used the liquitex acrylic paint and just covered the entire boot.

I need to touch up a couple spots that peeled a little, then seal it all with some polycrylic.
