Rome wasn't built in a day...

But this helmet WAS!

I started at about 10:00am this morning. Its now 11:00pm and I have a finished helmet. Now all I have to do is decide on a paint job...

I'd kind of like to do a canon character, and I'm torn between Wedge and Wes Jansen... any opinions as to which I should pursue?

Also, as you may or may not have noticed, my flight suit is 100% finished. Cool

I actually managed to get *most* of the pockets out of the sleeves of my second pair of coveralls..

... so if anyone here is thinking about going orange sometime in the near future, let me know. I've got a *LOT* of orange fabric left over. Wink

I'd say go with Wedge, but I'm a bit biased with Corellians Cool

Not sure if this is a legitimate question or not... but if I did Jansen, would I need to have snowspeeder gear? Confused

I would say no because Janson is also very prominent in the EU and does not only appear on Hoth. but it would be cool all the same if you did!

Lots of great canon designs to choose from. Here's a great sampling:

Nice work! Painting an already assembled helmet is pretty tricky. That's how I had to do mine. Be careful to protect that lens. Also, don't forget about the black automotive trim.

OK, hopefully it wouldn't be an issue with approval in that case.

And I've got that exact picture (and others) for looking at all the canon helmets. I like Wedge just as a character, and would like to create that character's costume. I know much less about Jansen... I just think his helmet looks really cool. Laughing That's how I narrowed it down to those two.

The lens is just stuck in with velcro. It will be taken out for the painting process. And I've already got the black helmet trim. I just haven't put it on yet because its a real pain to get off once its on, and I'd rather wait until after painting to install it.

I would say jump into the Rebel Pilots/Xwing section of the forums and ask your Jansen question there to be certain.
