Here's a great tutorial that we can use. I've used Pam's tutorials for 3 different costumes and they've come out perfect and they're easy to follow.

http://chucrew.com/Leia/leia.html

    Supplies needed from JoAnn's Fabric:
8 yards of white Jet Set polyester. It's usually $5.99 a yard. Trish says it's 30% off now and they always have coupons
    1" wide elastic
8--Half Ball Cover Buttons 1 1/8" Dritz is the brand--found in notions or button section.
    Hook and eyes
    White thread

Wonder if FiFi's wig shop would give us a group price on several wigs?

    Hardware store:
brushed aluminum sheet in roofing section
    silver spray paint

    Tandy Leather:

5oz weight belly strip of leather
4 leather snaps Line 24 size
    White leather paint
    rivets

Trish picked up a package of hook and eyes that has enough for everyone.

One person can get the Aluminum and spray paint and we can share.
Me or someone in New Orleans can go to Tandy Leather store and pick up a big piece of leather and the other supplies and then we can all split the cost.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT spray paint your brushed aluminum pieces on your belt! That is not accurate, please do not do that.

Karen, the two boot choices you posted above are fine, except on the second pair your posted, the stuff at the top will need to be removed.

Blonde, brown, red, etc. hair is allowed to be approved, if people simply want to get extensions and just do the buns with their natural hair color, so that is an option. If people want to do the full wig in brown, that is an option too.

You will have to obtain sheets of brushed aluminum and cut your belt pieces out to the correct shape and size.

Ok Pam's tutorial had the aluminum pieces painted silver that's what I was going by. We'll skip that part.

I like the tall boots with the little button on them the best. Should be easy to remove that little piece and button.

I went to JoAnn's in BR today and ordered 25 yards of the fabric. I had to pay for it when I ordered it. Shocked So I have enough for me, Haley and Krista.

I'll go to Tandy next week and pick up the leather and white paint.

If you're bringing a sewing machine make sure you have a new stretch fabric needle to sew on this fabric.

Please bring scissors, pins and thread.

If you are looking for a Leia blaster, check out this thread. Darthhair is the guy who made the boxes and helmets for the pilot project.
