I was curious if anyone has taken the hardware from a costumebase holster and replaced it with high quality leather?

Thoughts?

This was discussed a few times before I believe. It was determined that the lack of quality of the costume base holster (leather parts and metal) could not be of much use even if you had the better quality metal parts.

The best thing you could do with a holster from costumebase if you were looking for improvements is to use it as a pattern to making a new holster.

However I would be careful even to use the CB holster as a pattern for there are issues with the entire design of the holster. There are parts of the holster you might find of use when drafting a good pattern though.

Just my 2 cents.

Bob
