Hello everyone.

Woo Hoo! I cant believe I am finally here.

Im just another crazy Star Wars fan that became aware of these wonderful costuming groups, Rebel legion and the 501st.

I have been dropping in over the last 12 months or so to read the forums and try to get a handle on the lay of the land and the different identities.

I thought it was probably a good time to just put my hand up and say “ hi”. I know there have been some recent change in the RL in this country but it seems like it is entering a really exciting time. Even though we are no longer under the one banner, it is just a great feeling to think I may have brothers and sisters around the country with a similar love for this amazing juggernaut that is Star wars.

I have always been impressed by the work you all do and the changes you make in peoples ( especially children’s ) lives. I would love to be a part of it and join the RL.

I know that you have particularly high standards of costuming so for the past year or so have been working on an Obi Wan. I have done episode 3 as well as episode 2.
I think the episode 3 is more convincing but hope the episode 2 will also pass muster. Although a simpler look in a costuming sense, I think the EP2 is a more difficult look to get right and haven’t really seen too many attempted. I have tried to stay as accurate to the movies as possible (Sorry Fyr – traditional colours LOL ) but look forward to your feedback and suggestions on improvement and what I will need to do for approval.

I am still doing a few tweaks ( do we ever really stop tweaking ? ) but should be able to get a photo up soon. ( If I can work out photobucket thingy Laughing

)

good to hear that a new Obi Wan will be join us. take a look around, there are a few build threads about Jedi's

ohh well then, very soon, in fact tomorrow you may end up in a new Base that will cover New South Wales.

Keep an eye out on news of that!

I'm not from this base, but that looks like a really nice obi wan. I really like the texure on the outer tunic
