Does anyone know who the admins are on the Echo Base Facebook page?

We actually have two, one is a group page, the other is a regular page. (we should delete the group page).

I own a social network marketing company, our job is to produce content, I'd like to breathe some life into the Facebook page and be made admin. If we can't determine who is admin, I will be making a new one that we can utilize.

Tom

The group page gets traffic activity. I disagree that we should delete that one. Heck, I didn't even know we HAD a regular page...

Well the reason why we should make it a regular page is that it will encourage others to follow us and share in our exploits. We want more than just echo base, we want to be able to share and communicate with the other RL bases as well.

Oh, agreed totally. I think an active "fan page" would be outstanding. I just also like the idea of keeping our facebook community group going.

If you could add me as admin, I could start generating content for the page. I'm fine with the group page staying up, I'd like to start adding content and engaging.

Problem with the community group pages is, when I try sharing something (part of my PR strategy to increase views for both Base and Legion pages) from Echo Base on the Rebel Legion news feed... it won't allow me to "tag" community group pages. If you guys can start generating more and more content (event pictures, news, ect) on your fan page... I'll be glad to "share" it.

Right now, there are two "Echo Base" pages on RL's list of "liked" pages. As admin for the RL page, my goal is to find out which one is the official "fan page" for Echo Base and DELETE the other one. It would be better if the redundant one was shut down all together.

Just tell me which one to shoot!

I appreciated the Admin status when I was XO here, but honestly I am awful with computers and have no idea what I'm doing with them. I have a personal facebook page and can barely navigate that hahaha!

I have no problem if you wanna remove me (I'm not Command Staff this year anyway) to make room for someone who can do bigger and better things. I get these messages from time to time telling me of a "migrated page" and someone asking permission to join or something and I have no idea what to do (I actually did try to figure it out one day but couldn't, I'm so bad lmao).

Take a look at my company site: www.splashsocialmarketing.com dealing with social media is what I do.

A group's function is a bit redundant to our forum here on rebellegion.com. Groups main purpose on FB is to coordinate events and activities. They are typically closed (but could be made open).

A big issue that comes to mind is when we are trying to promote, Facebook's edge algorithm treats groups extremely different than that of a 'fan page'.

I don't see it as redundant. If anything it's very useful for letting people know when to check the forums about events and such. Many of us are on facebook all the time, but could miss things on the forums because we just don't get a chance to check. Having a group over there lets us have our community there as well as here, without cluttering up the fan page with things like, "Hey, everyone check the Echo Base forum for information on x," if that makes sense.

Facebook is just very convenient as many people are on facebook all day long. If nothing else, I don't see letting the group remain there as hurting us in any way. The fan page is a great tool for promoting us; the group is a great tool for us to use within the base.

By all means, we can keep the group page and that should be used as such, a group for us.

But we should not neglect the "fan page".

Also: I just posted today a ton of charity events we have invites, and a con and a panel.

I think we need to clamp down on who has the ability to add/remove stuff on the page in general.

Bro made a good point, and some of the people Tim mentioned are outdated.
