Same happened to mine, we are still working on the problem but we think it is due to one of the batteries being fried and therefore not supplying enough power to the saber. I'm currently waiting for a new set of batteries to arrive. (Trustfire ones to be exact)

Could be a short in the in the Obsidian card? I had that happen to one of mine. Did you try and download a new saber font or the like?

The sound is fine? It even is fine with sound for motion and clash.

@_ewok_hunter_ is one of your original batteries shorter than the other just slightly?

I would not have a clue. All we know is that when we go to charge one of the batteries one says its constantly charged while the other one charges per normal. And as for contacting Ultrasabers they said it might be a battery issue but I ordered new batteries from somewhere else. Will keep you posted Smile

When the sound is fine but the light isn't working, I doubt it hat something to do with the batteries. Maybe there is something fried in the wiring? It sounds to me as if there is energy (otherwise, the sound wouldn't work) but the energy can't get to the LED. I doubt the LED too, because these things are pretty resistant.

My guess is the wiring. Something is fried in there. Can you change the wiring from the batteries to the LED emitters to test the hypothesis?

I recently fixed an ultrasaber that had completely stuffed up wiring. I don't suppose you're swinging by Sydney, soon? If you have a Hoth base member who is familiar with basic electronics I'm happy to provide links to the forum sections and diagrams that I found most helpful.

No guarantees but I'm willing to check it out. Are you coming to the Australia Day Parade?

I would be if anyone had told me when and where :/ I've not finished my jedi robes yet so I'm still only a cadet.

I might be in Sydney in july.

Lightsaber has been pulled apart and is just awaiting parts for re-wiring. eta 2 weeks to completion. Hand over at the Hoth Base social day Feb 16 (think that's the right date)

Ben
