I decided to make a hoth pilot version as I already have an X-wing pilot costume and winters are quite cold here in Czech Republic Wink

My pilot:

And as I like Twi'leks I would like to make this character - Dia Passik from Wraith Squadron:

Right now I'm researching what I will need to add to my costume and searching for the right fabric for the jacket...

So I made a cap for my lekku (lekku made by Pam) and tested it as normal X-wingpilot:
Dia Passik (first test):

I have to adjust a cap closure to make it more tighly fiting to head but otherwise Im happy with it.

Now to make the snowspeeder parts Smile

Looks great!

You cold ask Mon Cal or Mr Bojangles for the wrist comm pad. If I am not mistaken, both of them should have a mould of my sculpt.
Corellian Exports used to make a nice badge for the chest pocket.
I suppose that you have already seen the jacket tutorial.

This is looking pretty sharp. As you said, just tighten it up and you're set.

You know, you might also be able to submit it as Cisi "Doc" Eriss as well. I think her skin color and markings are also very similar.

I would shy away from the "ripstop" fabric, it has a square pattern that shows.
I have an extra pilot rank badge and wrist comm that you could buy if your interested.

Thanks for all the advice and help :-)

I already have the rank badge, as I am also working om my Hoth Leia costume (done by friend from 501st here Wink )

I also got the wrist comm from Phyliss - thanks again

And I found a fabric in a store here in Prague, its not perfect, but the color matches well with my jumpsuit, its a microfiber fabric type:

I will stick with the Dia Passik character as I liked her in novels (if she can be approved as formal), and because a friend of mine will be making hers Cesi soon Smile

So now I have to make the jacket (or rather two, second one for my husband) and find the right gloves...

I don't believe that the jacket necessarily needs to match the color of the flightsuit material... From what I can tell, it looks like the cold weather jacket is a different shade of orange than the flightsuit. It looks like it's a little bit lighter in color.

Well that's what I meant by match Wink I was trying to find some fabric that was a bit lighter and less deep orange than the flightsuit as it should be and this was it, I just formulated it badly I guess. Will try to make a photo of both in one picture...

Those look like suede welders gloves. The markings should come right off with a clean wire brush...

So I adjusted the cap a bit and finally got to make the snowspeeder jacket:

Now I only have to color my communicator andglue it on the glove Smile
