You can actually see that black greeblie from the auction one on the one the Nien Numb guy is holding in the picture you posted, its just painted white and less of the plastic is cut away.

so it really wouldnt surprise me that this has been fixed up, after production. Even if it was fixed up by Lucasfilms people for use in a game or traveling display *shrug* They did that with the costumes , putting stuff on backwards/wrong or mixing up uniforms

I dont remember what the unpainted versions I was offered were selling for, but it wasnt too far off 10K maybe 2-4K under that, so its kind of an expensive paint job lol

The black "wedge" thingy on the back of the helmet? Yeah, all of the helmets have it, but it looks like a different piece than the one shown on the auction helmet. The one in the auction looks thicker than the others I've seen, and it doesn't look like the other ones have ridges (like the auction version does). Plus, the auction version has a large circle on the top of the "wedge", while the other helmets have a much smaller circle on the "wedge".
But I suppose that doesn't particularly matter at this point. Razz

That is quite an expensive helmet... And I don't even like the paint scheme. Laughing

And honestly, before I laid down any money on it, I'd want proof of where or what the helmet was used for. That's a lot of money for "it could have been used here or it could have been used there... or it could have been something put together randomly by some person who had no idea what they were doing..."
...Not that I wouldn't mind having it. Heh heh.
