This looks fantastic! What a process! I'm in the very beginning stages of working with my brother on a similar process, as he is just setting up his own CNC station and vacuum form table. I love the Havoc armor, but I am a lady, and would love to take advantage of the fact that the game version has canon female armor. I'm still in the sketching and measuring phase of things to pass on to him for modeling.

I am totally watching your process with interesting. Thumbs up

This project is starting to take it's toll. We are both beat. Between work and this project, we're both exhausted.

These next few pictures that Stormleader will be posting of us trying on the armor say a lot. They energize us a bit because we can see the armor beginning to come together. Very exciting.

Test fit.
Stormleader is this picture. 6'0" / 42" Chest / 180lbs.

This is me. Yes. Horrible picture because Stormleader is not Asian like me and can't take a good picture. Razz
5'11" / 48" Chest / 220lbs.
As you can see, there is still room for trimming the front to back depth of the armor. You will also be able to trim about 3/4" of undercut if needed.
I look a bit sassy in my picture. Don't be fooled. I'm a Grizzly Bear!

Yes. Gross. Pit Stains! It gets hot in this armor. Smile

We had to increase the size of the biceps from what would be the "real" size since most people are not as skinny as the trooper in the trailer. He looks built but in real life, he'd probably be about 105lbs.

More test fit pictures. It's nice when things fit together perfectly...

Some screen shots demonstrating the position size of the shoulder bells due to the shoulder pad.

I'm sorry I totally missed this post. Sad

Thanks very much. It's a fun project. Brutal but fun. You can't do too much measurement. There's nothing worse than building a part, molding, casting it and then finding out it doesn't fit.

SWTOR has many outstanding versions of womans armor. The Bounty Hunter and Trooper show many opportunities for a project. I have seen at least two Shae Vizla builds that are fantastic. As I mentioned before, the Hydra armor set in my opinion would be a fantastic build. But, that's Imp side.

These days, aren't there more and more members who are cross-club 501st and Rebel Legion?

I am 501st but would like to do this costume for a Rebel Legion approval.

Seems like it doesn't matter anymore. I think maybe most of the elitest attitude has flown the coupe.

I think it has, at least in many regions. We did a membership check up here and 95% of Alderaan Base are also members of the New England Garrison, so what does that tell ya?

(I'm a huge proponent of the blending of the two Legions. Not into one club, just as a "Hey, we're all Star Wars costumers of high reproduction standards. You bad guys, us good guys. We need each other, so let's work together.")

It's armors like this (and the Clone Troopers) that can really bring folks from the 501st Legion over to the Rebel Legion, and have a home if they care about "Approved!" status.

Back on topic; thanks for the measurements and size comparisons. Good to see this can fit a wide variety of people. After all, we got a couple "Male Body Type 4"s out there that might be interested in a suit.
Wink

I'm looking forward to this costume but even more so, trooping with some new people. I haven't trooped in maybe 5 years. I don't even currently have a costume. I'm looking at purchasing a TK again. I really can't wait to wear this costume.

We completed the bucks for the forearm armor. These are for the vacuum formed versions of the forearms.
