Greetings one and all! I've been lurking around for a bit and decided it was time to chirp up. I've gathered a few of the components for me Endor Commando costume and getting pretty stoked about getting started. But I have a quick question....
What I have for boots are these

They're my old issue boots. I've got a lot of miles on them and some hairy memories attached to them (mine are a little grungier and worn than the stock picture) Will they pass muster for an Endor costume?

Unfortunately these won't work. The standards require:

Quote:
The sole continues up over the front ½”/12mm of the toe.

and for your boots, the sole stops at the edge like a normal shoe. They need to look like these:

A great boot to use is the Israeli Palladium Scout Military Commando Boots in Beige.

You can find them on evil-bay. Hope this helps and good luck on your build.

That's a bummer. Oh well. Sounds like I'll be doing some shoe shopping. Thanks for the heads up and for the link!

I'm a bad combination of cheap and resourceful. If I could cement a rubber cap onto the toe and color match it, would that be acceptable?
