So for Celebration VI, I got to wear my Satele Shan costume. But wearing it all day, things start to break.

On the foot of the boot, there are these awesome armor pieces. Only thing is that when I walk, the foot bends, and the armor piece won't stay on. They were first fastened with glue ("Goop" to be precise), but it was clear that wouldn't be a permanent solution. For the entire day, I was using tape to keep them from completely falling off.

Bottom line: Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fasten them better? I thought of gluing small magnets (which won't be as easily disturbed by the bending) to the boot foot and the armor pieces.

I'd suggest maybe Velcro. you could measure it to fit on the underside of the metal and glue the Velcro on and then on the boots actually have the opposite side cut in the same shape stitched on. That's my idea. I have spats on my Jedi boots and I use Velcro. My only concern would be how long would it take for the Velcro to start peeling off the metal. You might need to have the metal bent a little to fit more flush to the boot.

I concur... Kevin's remedy will work.

My suggestion for glue would be Loc-Tite epoxy. The epoxy will most likely never come loose.

Thanks so much! Use the Loc-Tite epoxy to glue the velcro to the metal? And can I find that at a hardware store?

Correct...

It's an inexpensive epoxy (the 5-minute will work fine). You can find it (most likely) in the paint/hardware department of your local Wal-Mart. Any hardware store will alo have it.
