Recruit Duties and Expectations

Recruits are a necessary part of Echo Base operations. As recruits are a representation of Echo Base, they must follow all applicable guidelines and expectations. Along with the following.

- Recruits should check in with a member of the Command Staff upon arrival, if a member of command is not available, Recruits should find the event Contact. If available, the recruits will be given something that will identify them to the public as being part of our group which should be returned at the end of the troop.

- Recruits should be prepared to help run errands...i.e. posting fliers, setting up tables, breaking down tables, checking in with troopers stationed at trooping duties.

- Recruits should be ready to help troopers in and out of armor

- Recruits should help document, via photos, the event

- Recruits should be willing to offer to take pictures for the public.

- Recruits should remain with a group of troopers/particularly face characters. Certain characters will need special attention and a recruit may be assigned directly to that character to provide crowd control and help with pictures.

- Recruits should ask for help from Command or Contact person for additional chores

Again our Troopers could not do what we do if it was not for the support of our recruits and we consider you part of the team. At the majority of troops, the members of Echo Base go out after the troop for a bite to eat. Our recruits are welcome to come along. It is suggested that you bring cash for this as not all venues will split our bills.

This is a sad day for me, but I must step aside from this event for both days. Due to the storm, my work has placed me on 12 on/12 off shifts for utilities like PECO, PPL, UGI, etc. This event has become a favorite of mine since my first back in 2010. I am truly heart broken.
