Hello all, I am starting a chewie and I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to.
First, I've got the lifts planned and I plan to start from the floor up. I've for the mesh in the mail, and some hair already here, the hair I have is the 100% kanekalon jumbo braid, I've straightened it with the hair dryer, and its looking good.
Here's my question, the hair is long, each strand is 48" long. I plan to latch hook it into the suit, but I don't know if I should cut it first. Do I latch hook it from the center (where the rubber band is) making 24" hang off the suit, or should I cut it there (the the center rubber band) and use each half of the cut hair to hook on? That would make each strand 24", and 12" would hang from the suit when hooked on. That second option seems to be the one that makes sense to me, but I cannot find any reference to it on the boards.
Thanks BigBen

Cut the hair in half first making the strands 12in each and weave those from the middle.

If the hair out of the pacage is 48" long, cut it into 3 equal sections, then use that length to latch hook. 3 sections of 16". When latch hooked it will be about 8"long off the suit. Perfect length and after all the hair is on the suit, then you can groom, thin out,etc......
