I can send you a full size template.....
it is just done with a little fabric paint...

you can probably even use a Sharpie.....
but allow for some "bleed"....
try it on a piece of scrap fabric first...

Much appreciated! Yeah, the bleed is what I'm worried about.

No, not yet. I'm waiting for a decent JoAnn's coupon to arrive in my Inbox Very Happy

I found some dimensions for the pocket sizes on Rachel O's site, http://costumesandartwork.blogspot.com/search/label/Hoth%20jacket

Ok....

ready to rock and roll and to make a new mold of the Hoth Trooper wrist comm...
my current wrist comm is on the left...
and it is a bit large imho...

so..

all of these bits and pieces

finally make this:

a thin layer of primer to seal the wood and most importantly to check to see if any woodgrain is showing...

and....
it looks good...

ready to make a mold....

I am giving a Demo of this stuff at a large event in a couple weeks called "Discovery World" in Milwaukee Wisconsin...

For Discovery World demo purposes...
I decided that trying to work on this would be difficult "live"
...
so...
I will bring the dowels and all the "stuff" I used to make it...
and put the "process" on a sheet with photos....
and bring the mold.....

Very nice, Phyllis! You're becoming quite skilled at molding and casting Very Happy

No new news on my WIP. I've been looking around for fabric for the jacket. Found 100% cotton twill, but only in white or khaki. I'm going to keep looking for an ecru color before investing in white and attempting to dye it . . . dying is a pain in the rear.

finally make this:

a thin layer of primer to seal the wood and most importantly to check to see if any woodgrain is showing...

starting the mold:

took forever to dry...

ready to unmold:

and the sculpt, mold, and casted piece...

I have to admit..
I am pretty happy with the way it came out..
and I usually hate everything I make...

Very clean pulls, Phyllis. Very nice!

I think I still prefer the one I have (larger one) simply because it will look better on larger gloves. The new smaller option will look more size appropriate with people of a smaller build.

Of course it has to be large, if you're going to be able to use it in those bulky cold-weather gloves Wink Great looking pull!

Well, I finished the pants. Quilting the knees wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be . . . just time consuming. I'll post pictures this evening.

Next? Purchase the fabric to make the jacket and the gaiters. I'm tempted to use 100% strapping for the gaiters instead of the nylon. I'm not a big fan of the nylon look.

I didn't use any nylon strapping on my gaiters either...

I used quilt binding and bias tape...
they are all fabric...
