Here is an Idea that hit me today, Just thinking out loud...

Colored Berets.
Orange for X wing
Green for A wing
Red for B wing
Gray for Y wing

I was thinking about this for long troops or summertime troops, if we don't want to wear our helmets or carry them all through out the events. We all know it can get real hot in our helmets, so this was a thought to cool us down, and I think we would look cool with them on...

Any thoughts???

Quite a few RL members do have berets that they sometimes wear with their pilot outfits. They don't work for formal events where accuracy is required, but at other times they're okay.
I myself have a red one that I match up with my B-wing pilot from time-to-time. I actually have a picture of me wearing it in my costume profile for my V2 B-wing pilot.

The idea was examined last year.

The plan was to use the beret as a legion-wide off-duty headgearto help esprit-du-corp.
A 'flash' was produced and sold.

Unfortunally, the idea never stuck.
I was one of the few who wore beret when not in costume, as far as I know.

Sometimes coloured berets can be hard to get a hold of. In such cases a simple black (or dark) beret with a gold or silver emblem usually works.
