Have a buddy who got a standard kids Amidala invasion dress for his kid, but wasn't thrilled with the plastic headdress. Asked whether I knew of any other options.

Does anybody have a maker/plans/builds for invasion headdresses for kids? Not going for screen authentic, just something that looks better than 'out of the bag' plastic Smile

You could try paper mache or plaster "bandages" and create the base for the headpiece over the child's head, or a small mannequin and paint it.

anything I can think about involves the "pool foam noodles"

I would try to reinforce the plastic headress with something (anything from plaster bandages to fiber glass) then use a pool foam noodle to fill the area where the hair goes, and then, cover it with hair extensions.

A friend of mine did something like that, and it looked acceptable.
