Answering The Call For The 2012 – 2013 Mountain Base Council

As your continuing BCO, I will be accepting applicants for the following positions:

Base Executive Officer (XO/BXO) The Base or Outpost Commander appoints and defines the duties of an Executive Officer. In most cases an Executive Officer helps lighten the Commander’s load by taking care of some of their duties and filling in for the CO when they are unavailable. In the event that the CO steps down from a specific Base/Outpost the XO assumes the role of CO. There is only one XO per Base. The XO can also serve as a Regional Captain, if no Regional Captain is available. An XO may be put in charge of a specific aspect of running the Base/Outpost such as coordinating fund raisers, handling the development and sale of merchandise, and developing the website.

Base Public Relations Officer (BPRO/PRO)

Regional/State Captain(s) (RC/SC) The Base CO defines the role of RC(s)/SC(s). RC(s)/SC(s) function as event organizers for their state, province, or other geographic area. RC(s)/SC(s) assist the Base Command in the organization of events within their region of the Base. The RC(s)/SC(s) will serve as the primary contact between the Event Representative and Rebel Legion, or act as liaison between other members and Base Command for the events they organize within the region. RC(s)/SC(s) and/or non-titled members can organize specific regional events and/or requested costume appearances within the Base/Outpost, provided they inform the CO.

RC(s)/SC(s) are appointed by the CO, or can be elected by simple majority/plurality vote if the Base/Outpost chooses to do that. RC(s)/SC(s) are not required for a Base and a CO may appoint as many RC(s)/SC(s) as needed to meet the needs of the geographical region. Additional RC(s)/SC(s) may be appointed/elected and existing Captains replaced as needed, without having to wait for annual election cycle.

Base Membership Officer (BMO) The Base Membership Officer (BMO) is responsible, if designated by their CO or along with the CO, to have all contact information for all members in their Base. Contact information should include the following: Member's name, name on the RL site, address, current email, telephone number (if the member permits), and all current, approved costumes the member owns. [All contact information is kept strictly confidential and is not to be given out to anyone without permission of the member.]

The BMO is responsible for ensuring that members complete the annual census and updates the status of their members (active/inactive/reserve) on the Rebel Legion forum. The BMO is also responsible, if designated by their CO or along with the CO, for making sure members who have moved into their Base/Outpost area get their contact information transferred and updated as well as verifying that the member is not an ex member or has been banned from the RL or that they are of appropriate age to join the RL. They are responsible for carrying out requests for the removal from the Legion and work in concert with their CO for such requests.

The Base Commanding Officer appoints the BMO for their Base. BMOs are not required for a Base and a Commanding Officer may appoint as many BMOs as needed to meet the needs of the geographical region. Additional BMOs may be appointed/elected and existing BMOs replaced as needed, without having to wait for annual election cycle.

Base Webmaster (BW) The Base Webmaster is responsible for the design, content, and maintenance of a Base's website. He/she must also work with the Legion Webmaster to ensure that content on both sites is kept up to date. If no full member of the Unit is available or skilled enough to create and maintain a website for the Unit, the command may seek a Webmaster from other sources.

Base Translator(s) (BT) The Base Translator is responsible for helping the unit’s command staff translate materials, announcements, emails and rules into locally spoken languages. They will also serve on the Legion Translator Team to assist the Legion officers. Translators are appointed by the CO. Translators are not required for a Base and a CO may appoint as many Translators as needed to meet the needs of the geographical region. Additional Translators may be appointed and existing Translators replaced as needed, without having to wait for annual election cycle.

After reading the descriptions of the positions and if you are interested, please DO NOT respond to this thread but instead PM me with your interest. Lets show the States of Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico the ‘Good Guys & Gals’ are here to continue serving.

Thanks Mountain Base Rebels for your continuing service!

Your BCO,
Hugh ‘Banzai’
