I'm not so sure if the Imperial Knights would turn heads or not. I've seen the costume and I think it looks great, but like most things from The Expanded Universe I don't think it would give off that WOW factor. I'll be honest, I had forgotten what the heck they were and I had to look it up as I was posting this...lol.

I was thinking the same thing. Expanded universe characters don't really have the draw that movies or CW characters do.

Honestly, I think the absolute biggest WOW factor group would be Clone Wars. Clone troopers, ARCs, Commanders, and let's not forget all the face character/council Jedi, Nightsisters, etc. Those people that already have the kits or wanted to get them could do the clones. Those that armor doesn't work well for could do the animated style Jedi from the series. There are Jedi/Sith/Nightsisters in the series for all ages and both sexes. The gauntlets and chest armor that some characters wear isn't too expensive. Plus, lets face it, the 501st pretty much dominates the Original Trilogy and ignores the PT except for Anakin and some Clones. I really feel that Clone Wars is the immediate future of Star Wars and would get the biggest reaction out of fans. Legen *wait for it* dary.

Imagine the fanboy drool over (and I'm just throwing names into characters members have expressed an interest in here): Eric as Anakin, Mike as Obi-Wan, Crix in Dooku, PQ as Savage, Chad as Maul, Sam or Gina in Padme, Jess as Satine, JJ as Asajj, Bob in Chewie, Phyllis as Mother Talzin, etc. flanked by Rex, Cody, Wolffe, Fives, Heavy, Gree and a few other BA looking clones. You can have a Vader, Fett and 15 stormtroopers at WW, but that Clone Wars group would steal the show. Did anyone see how the ARC battalion got mobbed at CVI? If we're gonna put the time and effort into a serious group build, let's make it something that is going to get world-wide wows.

I've been trying to get Gaza into doing a clone... Wink

Well if we do a tusken run, we could start a clan... maybe that will drag the 501sters over?

Lol. Yeah I'm not a fan of EU costumes. I'm actually not a fan of any costume that I don't know. I don't care if i am a spitting image of a person. If I have no idea who they are, I'm not into it. Lol. Plus, it looks way to 501st to me. The Tusken idea does sound good. I've always wanted to try a female tusken but I know without a few male tuskens, I'll look weird. Lol.

if the Cantina band is still on the table...

I asked the guy who makes the mask about a discount if we did a group thing.. mask and hands.. this is the response..

Quote:
I have to redo the mold now it's very worn. I have another group wanting to do a band also so I think I have the interest to redo the mold. If you made an order for 5-6 sets I could discount them $35 each making them $350 a set. That's the best I could do since shipping is included in the original $385. If I redo the mold they wouldnt be ready until close to Christmas though.
Let me know
Woody

so... something to think about
here's the link to his thread on the 501st board..
