Ok I can not figure out how to post a picture so here it is on my flickr

I had my sister pick out the colors and design, she know what she wants but she does understand that things will have to chance.

OK nothing special but here is my Red 5 bucket. Built and painted my Rando (Mark) then I did a few little finishing touches and satin clear coated it, which gave it a great looking finish and really enhanced the weathering. I also added the ear cuffs and padding in the helmet to give it that finished look. I will be installing the mini MP3/speaker unit I have just behind one of the ear cuffs. I have the radio chatter loop I put together a few month ago on the MP2 player.

I just ordered those knee pads for my helmet. I love the finished look they give it.

Love the colors and design on this one! Very unique!

I don't know how to post an image here from Flickr, but if you upload to Photobucket, Photobucket gives you an IMG Code. If you copy and paste the IMG Code, the image should paste here. Once the image is up you may get more comments as people on the forums are spoiled and aren't used to having to click for photos! Smile

Jaz -

I dig it. Looks quite good. My only suggestion, however, is that scuffing it up or, at the least doing a black or brown wash would help the details pop while slightly toning down the pastels and giving it a used, in universe, look.

Quick question on helmet designs. I'm halfway through a build from Golden Armor. I was thinking of doing a Scottish theme - the Scottish flag (white X on a blue field) in the front, and yellow on the ear/back with the lion rampant on either side.

I figured the flag would be generic enough but I'm concerned that even if I use a stylized version, that it will be to 'earthish'?

This is what I was going to base is on -

Do you recall what brand or business you got yours from? They do look very nice and might go that route myself.

Creddy,

This could be a quite interesting build. As for the lion rampant, yeah, it is a little earthy. Can you "SW" it up a little? Horns, multiple tails, maybe make it into a Nexu? Just some small change so someone doesn't say, "so, why do you have a lion on your helmet?"

And yeah, that particular flag would be generic enough to pass (especially if you through a rebel bird in the X intersection).

Thanks Joe!

Was thinking about having it weathered, but I might just let it get weathered on it's own as I troop with it.

Currently $8.50 a pair at Duluth Trading.

I just put mine in my helmet on Tuesday. I shoulda painted the inside black first, but either way, the bucket fits and feels great with these.
