Going a little over a month now I have been slowly building the Havoc Squad Trooper Rifle from the CG trailers. I plan to pull it out of Resin in the end.

The wife and I have been mostly hand sanding and using a dremel on this thing and let me tell you, it has been tricky!

I thought I would share it though!
I am going to try and cast it this weekend. It is basically done otherwise.
It's just painted grey right now for sealant. The final Resin will be black and then painted over an weathered hopefully.

Here is the whole album on my public facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.329051000512388.76374.237217453029077&type=3

and a little preview..

Spiffy! Great detail work on that.

It looks like it would be very heavy in resin. Any chance for a lighter weight rubber?

I plan to cast the barrel part as a hollow resin so it won't be so heavy. I might look into a rubber if i can figure it out. Any suggestions?

It will be really heavy but you could hollow it out if you really want to make it out of Resin. But I must say that the one you got looks great! Cool

this one is MDF so its not too heavy but i probably won't carry it around as its fragile and comes apart to cast.

Thanks! Wasn't sure I'd be able to make it but I think it turned out pretty decent in the end. Hopefully my resin pulls come out well too this weekend

I have a resin Morita... so this won't be too bad as it's 2/3 the size. Let me know if you make these available. Wink

I'm working on trying to get something pulled. It's been really tricky getting the details to come out in the mold so far.

Good work on making that rifle. I would be interested too if you end up making them to sale.

Great work man. Do you think you might ever make those for sale or a kit to make them?

I actually had a thread up for sale but there wasn't enough takers to even be able to afford making the mold so I had to stop it Sad
