Hello,

About two years ago I bought the Endor Commando from Utopia Base. Now that I've had time to work on my rebel commando, I've discovered that most of the costume was rubbish and I cast aside, the only thing I kept were the flight cap and the brown vest that came with it. I'm not sure if that brown vest qualifies as acceptable in The Rebel Legion. Here is what the vest looks like, if any Endor Commandos or anyone could help me to figure out what I can do with this vest It would be much appreciated.

It's kinda hard to tell like that. Can you get a pic of you wearing it?

Well what I see what is missing is: "Accurate capped sleeve vest with slash pockets and padded applique on right upper chest."

Not so hard to modify.

I am guessing that the outfit you bought was a Costume Base one..
and...
pretty much none of that is useable...

unfortunately..
the vest is trash also...

the sleeves are not correct...
they are just plain sleeves and are not capped sleeve...
it does not have the correct padding on the shoulder...

without the exact same fabric from which the vest was made...
I don't think you could fix the one you have...

sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Oh no Very Happy that's actually what I wanted to hear....but no worries I know how to make an accurate one from scratch Very Happy better then this costume base garbage.... thanks for telling me now I know what I must do.

I remember buying the costume 2-3 years ago thinking how awesome it was going to be, but then I finally get it and a I'm like "What the heck is this rubbish!" I attempted to dye the pants recently but found out that the pants are polyester(terrible for dying) so I had to scrap it all...but don't worry I have tan BDU pants and a Swedish Snow Parka....the ones we were suppose to use.

Schph,

Could the vest be used for a ROTJ Officer?

sorry...
but no...

that ROTJ officer jacket also needs capped sleeves ...
and...
it needs to go to mid thigh...

so this vest is too short and has the wrong sleeves...

there may be a solution, in fact its what I did for mine. It does involve sewing skills though

1. the pockets are too big - reduce the size.
2. Use the excess cloth and transpose up to the shoulder area. Get some quilting material and create the quilted look
3. cut sleeves down to formed a capped look

this was half way through my mod - quilting done, but the capped sleeves yet to do

but yes, the rest unfortunately is rubbish
