Hello, everyone -

I am looking for detailed or at least useful pictures of A-Wing and Y-Wing chestboxes. I realize these are hard to come by, but they are out there, certainly, in one form or another.

If anyone can provide some useful images, sketches, hell... woodcuts, even simple text descriptions, I'd be most grateful. PMs are, of course, fine. Google Image search hasn't revealed much, except that "Chest Boxes" are a new terminology for tattoos of a certain type...

Fastest thing I could offer now:
Please have a look to my A-wing thread, maybe you can find something helpful over there:

(This should be the part with the chest box)

Xeo, I might have some stuff I can email you on the A-wing, but as for the Y-wing. Nope, there are no images out there right now, that's the big problem and our eternal frustration.

I guess we should be happy that clear B-wing chestbox images finally surfaced in the last two years.

For the A-wing pilot, the best I have is this...

And a 3D model I whipped up about a year ago, though I can't say how accurate it is...

The white should be cloth, and have a tan strap down the front and sides, but I couldn't do cloth-like textures in the 3D modeling program I used...

As for the Y-wing pilot, this is the best I've got...

Thanks much for the help, Fellas. Very much appreciated.
John - can I assume that the person who saw the actual Y-Wing suit in the flesh has decided not to share any of his information?

I haven't gotten any definitive details yet that I can verify.

I'm sorry to read that. It would have been a great boon for the community. Its unfortunate that someone can trade on our name and choose not to share his findings with the community; there are several tactful means with which the information could have been shared.

More often than not, from what I understand, those who see the archive costumes are asked not to share pictures or much information. It seems to kind of defeat the purpose, and I'm not exactly sure why Lucas Films would care, but...

What program was used to create the 3-D A-Wing box images? They are great!

I used Doga. It's about the only modeling program I can use. Razz

Just an FYI, the rectangular white part should be more of a cylinder. 'Course, it should be covered in cloth as well...

Regarding the OP, here's a few more pictures I stumbled onto. Nothing different but every little bit helps.

Thanks for the info.! Never heard of that program though...

In terms of the lower portion of the A-Wing box, I know it is more of a cylinder and have done this already. Pics. coming soon (hopefully)
