Theoretically.... Could the logos, crests, etc. of that faction be represented on a helmet? Presuming it's not Imperial, of course, hah!

This is something I'm not entirely sure about. Someone else may be able to tell you exactly.
However, I have seen members with markings from various factions. Granted they were modified a little bit, I believe, so they didn't look exactly the same.
But there is, most recently, Jedi Yar-Nala who received formal acceptance, and his helmet has the Jedi insignia on the front.
I've also seen a member or two who have a modified Imperial cog on their helmet.

In short, I wouldn't see any reason why you couldn't use some such markings within moderation. Though I'm not entirely sure about the Mandalorian one...

As Gil says, it just needs to look like it belongs in the SW Universe.

However, having said that. I'd be careful what you put on there as other "fanboys" will call you out on it. We've seen Naboo symbols and some Jedi symbols on there, but you need to be ready to explain it.

And chances are that LFL wouldn't choose a pilot to represent at special events with a Jedi symbol on it. Wrong era and crossing the boundaries between OT and CW.

OK flight suit is on its way, now the only piece missing is the com pad, which I have ordered but there seems to be some problems with the manufacturer right now Sad
Hope to have 99% of my pilot together by next week.

I got my helmet from Rando Mextra (Mark) today just had enough time to take a quick snap of it before leaving for work. I will try to take and upload the other pieces I have this week end. I am just waiting for the com-pad then it is complete and I can take some photos to see what it all looks like together and get input before submitting.

I snapped a few pictures of the costume pieces I have and would like to get an idea from any of the judges if I'm on the right track? I am still waiting on the com-pad and if what I have been told is correct it should be in the mail.

While I wait for my com pad (which I have been told will be mailed by Friday) I decided to do a little finish work on my helmet. Did a little touch up hear and there then gave it two coats of satin clear coat, it looks amazing. The last thing to do is the inside, I removed the foam and gave it a coat of satin black. I should have the ear cuffs this week to finish the inside. I plan on putting in modular padding, I have some cut ready to glue in, just need the ear cuffs for positioning. Once I have finished it I will up load some pictures.

Yes ... yes you are. Everything's looking really good. Cool

Who's the maker of the flak vest Btw? Might use those pics in a "tutorial/explanation" coming up.

The flak vest I got from Coliver over in Argentina Custom Props I believe is the official name, he did most of my soft parts for me.

If you need a commpad, I have an extra one (I thought I'd lost it and ordered a second one, then it turned up).

Just my own two cents' worth - the pieces all look good but they are too clean and new. Pilots should have some weathering - especially the vest and jumpsuit.

Thanks Doug, I am gonna see if this com pad shows up in the next week, if not I may take you up on that if the offer stands.

As for the weathering I will once I have everything together and got some pics I will look at weathering, I guess I just figured it would weather with trooping Smile
