I thought they looked decent. Any experts out there have an opinion? Good, Bad, Ugly?

Ok... I know I am not a Luke guy... but...

I am not 100% sure, but I always considered Lukes boots to be much like Hans... which have a straight shaft cut at the top...

I could be wrong, just a thought... otherwise they look great!

2 cents...

Yeah. I e-mailed them when I saw that and it does have a "european" cut on the top of the boot. The search continues....

Interesting to know that this kind of shaft is called "european cut"... Smile

Always those little differences... Razz

But I also think that a straight shaft cut is more accurate...

After digging around a bit, I discovered that the taller Russian boots are sometimes called "Kirza" or "kerseys" for the officers. They are the 17" tall boots. The shorter 14" boots were generally for the paratroopers. Apparently, Kirza also refers to the type of material used for the boots and holsters too. It's more of a pebbled leather look.

Pebbled boots are okay for Rebel Legion, but are not accepted for Imperial Officers. Since they were the same boots on-set, I prefer the smooth leather.

That said, the boots I have for Luke are pebbled.

Yeah I think the East German parade boots look more the part. But they are harder to find without overseas shipping.

I'm looking to keep it under $200. Size 10.5 or 11.

I'd love to get actual military stuff, but whatever looks best!
