Attention Rebels! The Mountain Garrison Mile High Squad has invited us to take part in the 501st Booth that will be set up in the Geek Pavilion!

It's sure to be a fun time!

-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

We have been invited to set up a booth at the Denver County Fair, in their Geek Pavilion. We are intending it to be similar in style to the Denver Comic-Con booth.

Just like other cons, we don’t expect all the troopers to be there the whole time. Please indicate what day(s) and time(s) you are able attend.

We are planning on running a Blast-a-Trooper booth. We have a separate sign-up section for it, as well.

Many details are still being worked out, including when we can get it to set up, when we need to be broken down, etc. Please continue to check back here as we will be posting updates when we get the information.

Venue: National Western Complex
4655 Humboldt St.
Denver, CO 80216
Expo Hall, Hall of Education, Stadium Hall & Stadium
We will be on the main level.
Maps can be found here:
http://www.denvercountyfair.org/maps/

We will be in booths 223 and 226. Layouts of the fair can be found here.

Date & Time:
The fair runs Friday - Sunday
August 10th-12th, 2012
Hours: Friday and Saturday 10am - 10pm (Doors open for us at 9)
Sunday 10am - 6pm (Doors open for us at 9).
Breakdown will be start at 6pm Sunday.

Rules and Guidelines
Will there be children present? Yes
What are the guidelines for interaction?
Bucket on/off rule ("Troop Mode" or casual): Casual, it’s a con-type atmosphere
Weapon restrictions
Are squires needed at this event? Any restrictions?
Are members children allowed at event?
Pictures
Games, events, activities: Blast-a-Trooper

Trooper Provisions
Men's and Women's secure dressing area: Blast-a-trooper tent
A "safe zone" to unmask: We will have access to the Vendor Lounge. Info will be at the booth.
Will food/water be provided? Vendor Lounge will have discounted food & meals available
Any other entertainer "perks"?
Is there a prefered parking location/garage? See below.
Is parking free/reimbursed? We can purchase 4 all-weekend parking passes for $16 apiece, and park in the close-in vendor lot. Let me know if you are interested in getting one for yourself, or sharing one. We will be able to leave them at the Exhibitor check-in when we're not using them. All others will need to use regular parking, at $10/day. The Complex itself runs the parking, so unfortunately the Fair was not able to help us out in this regard.
Is there a special entrance we should use? Come in through the main gate to stop by the Exhibitor Check-in and get your Exhibitor pass. When leaving, please drop off your passes.
What you should bring with you (other than costume) Camera!

For those of us going, we are on our own for parking fees, but we will be given exhibitor badges.

We check-in with the exhibitor check-in and turn in the badge when we leave.

It's great they changed their mind. At DCC, their rep came over seeking informaton. They mention to me they only wanted the 501st.

Have fun.

That's news to me. Nevertheless, the 501st are inviting our friends to troop with us. Wink
