A friend from my local garrison is building a full size Dewback for Celebration 6 (and other events). It's designed to be operated by two people. The legs will move with the wearers legs, the head will move left and right, and the mouth will open and close.

The tail also sways back and forth naturally and there will be a sandtrooper dummy with a controllable head (rear puppeteer) that can look around. Sound effects are also planned.

The frame is PVC. The body is is built like airplane, with foam ribs built like an airframe. It is then surfaced with a very thin foam (about 1/8" thick) and then surfaced with eva foam scales.
