Decent troop. The contact and staff were really appreciative of us coming out. They loved us and were really enthusiastic about us being there... We had a nice and varied assortment of troopers and nothing went that wrong... Trooping in a computer store also has the nice feature of the air-conditioning being cranked a little higher than normal which is really nice on a Summer troop...

Also, photographer extraordinaire Jason Colflesh came out and took some great pictures of us for our individual portfolios, so big bonus there... See the link below for the shots..

Couple of annoyances.

-Our changing room was the Microsoft Store "employee break room" - which was pretty active while we were trying to change out of costume. There were quite a few employees in there doing their "employee break" things.. I have to admit, it was a really cool break room for the employees tho with free drinks, and setups for laptops so they can play World of Warcraft, etc on break. - It just wasn't very conducive to 8 troopers trying to get undressed and dressed... Changing INTO costume was less crowded, but we did have a "minder" in there watching us - which was kinda uncomfortable - especially when he was tooling around on his phone causing a few troopers to mention he better not be taking pictures (He swore he couldn't because Microsoft would "make him disappear" if they caught him)

-As with all malls, we had to deal with mall security rules... Like no weaponed characters outside the store which is perfectly understandable... But since there was a train ride nearby, we thought we could get a pass to go take pictures on it... We asked one of the Microsoft contacts to get us permission, and it just wasn't going to happen... I never even heard back a response

-And finally, Microsoft Store wanted us deeper in the store to bring people in... But when we were deeper into the store, nobody noticed we were there... So we went near the entrance which got a lot of people to come up to us for pictures,etc... But, then we were told by MS to move deeper into the store. I completely get "why" they wanted people to come into the store, but it just wasn't fulfilling as a trooper to get two or three people noticing us in there... So we kept getting in trouble sneaking over to the entrance to actually get some love from the crowd LOL...

Scott playing the Star Wars game "dance segment" as Princess Leia character... Thats kinda the definition of the spirit of this "Ugly/Funny" segment of the MR.. LOL I'll give Scott a lot of credit, he danced his little heart out and demoed the game for at least an hour.

TOD updated and Jason's pix are up at

Thanks to all who came out!
