Hi,
I was hoping I could get some help from the members here. One of the things I like to do is have a plan for the costumes I make. Usually this takes the form of pictures of said (Sp?) costume(s). In my life, as a member of the 501st, I have been lucky to have pictures that I have found, already, made by Kal Argos, of the Star Wars Design Alliance (<-Link).
Thanks to Kal I have this picture to show you. It is my vision of the Corellian Jedi uniform that I want to make. I would like this forums opinion of the uniform.

FYI: Kal is not done, with this picture, I wanted to get the jump on seeing what the forum thought; of it.

I like it, though with the color and maybe even the bloodstripe, I beleive you would need to go with Generic New Republic. On the Generic New Republic debate, there is a hook on the belt of ALL the original trilogy characters. This hook is what the lightsaber hung from and the D Ring on the belt is really irrelevent, they all had D rings on their sabers though.

I am trying to get this cleared up in the costume standards, but it seems whoever has access to modify this does not read the boards.

Unless you can provide 3 separate Lucas approved references for this costume, you will have to follow the standards as they are. If you are wanting to an old republic jedi, you will need to have earth tones as your colors. The only exception to this are face characters, which have their own standards.

If you want to do a Green (corellian) jedi, you still can. You will just have to apply it under the New republic jedi standards, since the color variation is a lot more open. You can still make the entire costume like you would be making it for old republic standards, you would just have to attach the lightsaber with a D-ring instead of a Covertec.

Here are the links to where to read up on the standards:

Old Republic

New Republic

Hope this clears some up for you. Please ask any more questions you need Smile

Brent,

Sorry for the lateness of this reply. I have been going through the paces in trying to get a, literally, new designation from the 501st. Second thanks for the help. Third it looks like I am going, to go, with the New Republic requirements: should I use the Generic Jedi and Corellian Jedi it. Or can I use most of the Corran Horn, Jedi Knight Requirements; minus the goatee? I don't know where to get a fake and my company frowns on goatee type facial hair.

Also do you know where I can find "real world" pictures of the NR Jedi belt?

You can go generic new Republic Corellian without having to do Corran Horn. Look at my formal approved costume for one example. For the belt I have an prequel style double belt with a d-clip added (actually a money clip I have velcroed to the belt.

Above is the last picture that was sent; to me. Does it conform to the regs? The belt will be a prequel style double belt with a d-ring attached to a money clip.

For me the colours should be o.k., especially the robe colour is interesting for me as I also have a very dark brownish-green one.

Only thing I would change is the belt colour into black, like the boots. But that´s a only a personal thing (shoes and belt always should be of the same colour). Rolling Eyes

But if he is going to Old Republic they both have to be brown. It is very specific about the belt being brown. and it says brown boots.

Jazin,

I am following the Corran Horn, Jedi Knight, requirements.

[quote=Corran Horn Requirements]
Brown leather belt with gold/brass buckle, with four similarly colored studs— two on either side of buckle. The inner set is positioned in upper third of belt, outer set to lower third of belt.
...
...
Brown/black leather, leather-like boots at least calf height. (No rubber boots)

Hi all,

I was wondering if this version of the Corellian Jedi Uniform would be approve able (Sp?)? I ask because Kashyyyk Base & Cloud City Garrison had a armor party today... er yesterday Wink and a member of KB told me that the standards, for the Jedi, have recently changed. She also told me to re post (Sp?) a, previous, picture and to check with you guys about seeing if it would be approve able.

The new picture is the finished product; plus a possible addition.

Thanks for any help.

looks like a good design and color scheme ....

yup the corrillians distinguish themselves wit hgreen , so the color scheme looks good .

also in regardsto standards it looks like there is no longer a distinction of old or new republic jedi...we are now just jedi ..

I believe so, as long as the boots and belt/s correlate. Always nice to have green Jedi. Smile
