I'm working on my Luke Skywalker Post compacter costume. With his E-11, how is it to be attached, by hoops or by leather strips with Chicago screws?

A friend of mine is about to make a holster for me and I need to know to add hooks or a leather strip.

Any help would be awesome. Very Happy

Hi Craig, I found a bit of info on this when making my Hero Stormtrooper and Post Trash Compactor Han.

All the Hero Stormtrooper suits (eg, the ones worn my Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford plus the close ups of the TKs) had the strips with four rivets holding the holster to the belt and the stunt suits only had two in ANH. Only ESB and ROTJ had the looped holsters(And were also worn on the opposite side).

So to be accurate it would be the classic ANH style holster with the strips attached to the back side of the belt with four rivets.

Here's how I did my hero belt that I use with my TK and Han Solo costume:

Though for Luke you'd also need the Commlink and clip plus Grappling hook box instead of the TD but you probably already know that part Wink

I just found these decent sized images showing Luke with his Stormtrooper belt which show how it is all attached, keep in mind these are post production photos so the belt looks so much more damaged and beat up compared to how it actually was on screen:
