Hiya,

After doing some reading and collecting a few bits I'm starting to plan an XWing costume for myself and maybe even a second. I know the Windak flight suites were used at least in part for a couple of SW costumes. I have read it suggested that the Xwing flack vests were either from the Windaks or copies / based on them. Are they originals, copies or a mix?

I've was working in London last week and made sure I found the time to visit some of he museums. I instantly recognised the Windak in the Science Museum do here are a few more pictures of the Windak there:

I have the original 4k by 3k pixel images if anyone wants them.

The above was Windak number one. Windak number two is the Bossk yellow version which I believe is the one at the National Space Centre in Leicester. There is regular Star Wars and other SciFi events there and we will be trooping there in a weeks time. I may have the opportunity to get real close to their Windak and unlike the London one, get behind it. Is it worth me getting some very close up detail pics (would they be useful / has it already been done o death) and does anyone need photos of specific details?

Cheers.
Greg

More pics are always useful Greg. Especially back and/or side shots. Thanks for posting these.

I'd love to see more pics of the yellow one, and the back and sides of either. Most of the photos i've found are of the fronts of those suits.

Hiya,
Finally able to upload the pictures I took at the weekend. I was very lucky to have access to the suit. Although it wasn't locked in a case it was next to a wall about three quarters against it so I couldn't get a good angle from all sides. Sorry I decided against trying to move the flight suit that is valued at several times the value of my house! Shocked

If anyone wants any of the full sized 4000 by 3000 pixel originals just PM me your email address and the name of the picture and I will email it to you. But I will need to send only one attached picture per email due to the 4mb size of each picture.
Hope they are helpful.
Thanks.
Greg
