Thanks!
The pictures are quite old and not all costumes/uniforms are up to RL or 501st standards and I´m not going to pursue it either.. I think only the pilot and RFT are up to standard so I´ll go with them! Wink

All of the Imperial uniforms I made is only because a rebel had them in the movies.
Stormtrooper=Luke & Solo.
Biker Scout=Nik Sant.
And the only other imperial uniform I could/would make is a AT-ST driver simply because that Han Solo had one on for 5 sec... Hehe!

While I am waiting for approval for the first uniform I´m hard at work with my ERC uniform. The helmet is really the hard part but I think it´s going rather well right now.. Will see in a week or two if I can fix the problems I have with it?! (pictures will then follow)

Have a great week to everyone and keep building, trooping and fighting the evil empire! ..and MTFBWY,always! Cool

How much time it takes to be approved depends largely on how busy the costume judges are.
Björn, in case you ever need any help with costuming resources in Stockholm, just send a PM! I have had approved costumes for X-wing pilot and RFT commander.

I am working on that sheadual as we speak

Quick question..

I am working on my custom made Endor Commando donut and are wondering if there are any special rules how it should look?

In most pictures they all look alittle different and the soldiers wear it in different ways..

Most important is how much of the "head" should stick up out of the donut?
This picture just show how far I have come to this point, but I do realize I have much work left on it.. Smile

To me it looks like a good start, I think there are too many too big donuts out there. I'm not an expert though on anything that's not fabric.

I would ask over at the Rebel Trooper forum, that's where the real experts on the costume are posting.

At first I was thinking of joining the 501st but as I am a rebel at heart I´ll just stick by the Alliance. (for the time being?!) Wink
I did plan to fix the Scout uniform but then the standards was changed and I realized that I did not have the skills needed to make those changes so I´ll put that uniform on the shelf for now.. Sorry.. Embarassed

I think the walls of the donut should be slanted. The bottom also, but not as much.
There are some good pictures of it from the front and sides on Endor Trooper page. (click "Helmet")

Are you building the donut out of foam? I found this tutorial to build one from a flower pot .. but the guy uses foam too. Why not make it from foam in the first place, then? Rolling Eyes
BTW, if you plan to use Plastic Padding putty, you should seal it first with something that isn't polyester-based, such as epoxy or urethane, etc. I have heard that the polyester in Plastic Padding eats through foam. Oh, and don't use "Plastic glue", because it does so too.. (yet another thing that I had learned the hard way ...)

Hehe.. Thanks for the tip!
I did build it out of a foam base and now I am covering it with Plastic Padding. I will soon start to sand and paint so I can see how it will look.
Then I have to fix the flight cap too. In the movies it is alittle rigid and I´ll try to make mine like that too..
The really fun part of making costumes is to find the best way to make the item look and feel like the "real" prop.
I do try to look what other people do but can´t stop trying to find other and better ways.. Wink

I should be closer to the finished product soon and I´ll try to post pictures of the process of making the donut.

Thanks again to everyone for the help! endor

I have been working on the ERC uniform for some time now and this is as far as I have come now!

Helmet.

Belt.

Soft "Alice" pack.

Gaiters.

Gun/rifle.

Everything put together (still need the boots though).

I think I´m almost ready to face the judges and to hunt Biker Scouts during the summer?! Wink

Finally it´s ready and approved!

Now I can rest easy because there are not many uniforms/costumes left for me to make.
Maybe the Rebel Officer from ROTJ but I´ll wait and see with that one.
