Cheaper than MC and more accurate, though you do get a wait time.

I keep hearing that MC's quality has decreased over the past two years anyway, made me nervous.

Nice, I only needed reference. I'm gonna have to send it to someone who does boots, as these sellers usually don't ship worldwide, and when they do it ends up not being worth the time and money.

It would take a loooong time to get here and the shipping would be very pricey.

Eh, JDOS is based in Peru and will ship anywhere, near as I know.

He's also a Legion member, which is kinda nice.

Good luck with the costume effort!

I'm planning to do this one for a local Star Wars event here on my city. To Celebration VI I'm going with my Luke RotJ costumes.

I have heard some not to good reports on the rotj luke museum replicas boots, but does anyone have a good rewiev of the whole costume? Since I am really not any good with a sewingmachine, I am seriously considering museum replicas complete costume as a very possible choise, would really appreciate some constructive feedback

SteinA

ps: I have ordered russian officer boots to wear with the costume.

The boots are extremely small. I'm planning on upgrading to something better at some point. The belt buckle is clearly the wrong color (black). It'll require a can of silver spray paint but nothing too big.

The rest of the costume isn't too bad.

instead of spray paint, try 'weathering' your buckle by scraping at the black paint to expose the silver underneath. MR's paint isn't wrong, they've just left it to you to weather the buckle. (but for some reason they weathered the leather? weird).

I received my boots today, and bought some tabbard and vest fabric last week.

I'm two pairs of pants, two shirts, a belt and a few props away from finishing Yavin and Jedi Lukes.

I found vest and tabbard fabric for Sail Barge Luke. I'm awaiting on a shipment of my Black Cotton Twill for the pants. I already got a pattern to modify for the shirt and pants, the rest is history.

My boots, belt and lightsaber hilt came today. I'm looking forward to finishing the costume by the start of May or next month.

In two words - THEY SUCK. Museum Replicas' boots were made too large in the calf, when, if you see in the movie, they are pretty form-fitting to the leg. The quality seems bad too. My friend got their Obi-Wan boots and they started cracking and breaking after just two troops!

The boots I bought are German, but are textured. I'm considering passing them on and getting a pair that are smooth, so I can use them for an Imperial officer as well. They're a bit big, anyway.
