For a NZ squadron we'd need 3 formal approved pilot costumes (see here) - I don't think we have any official pilots at the moment.
I'd love to see a few detachment groups in NZ, we have more than enough to start a Jedi Temple _________________

Well, I'm hoping to be approved in the next few days... Matt has a costume, and you have one in the works......? _________________ New Zealands most successful webcomic:

I'll join ya for the Jedi
Would join you for the X wing but I can't really afford a helmet right now. Mind you I have stuff to scratch build one. Hmmmm.... Actually if there could be a way to accept a Togrutan pilot I'd be all up for it There are other aliens approved but I don't think there is precedence for this in particular. The horns probably get in the way and I can sit on my tails _________________ facebook | website | tumblr | dA

Mine's possibly approvable in it's current state (haven't checked some minor specs)...but there are some upgrades I have in mind, and I'm undecided/procrastinating as to whether I'll just submit it or wait for a more definitive version to be complete. |

I don't think a helmet is required even for formal acceptance, so you could just do it at your leisure as an add-on later.

Hmmm yes, just checked... helmet is optional: http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8851
Quote: | Formal Requirements:
You must have at least one of the following items to be accepted:
X-Wing helmet with Star Wars-style decoration.
Mini-flares on belt. A mix of filled and empty slots are okay.
Accurate belt buckle on web belt.

Cool Yeah, I have everything I need for my x-wing, bought a flightsuit to match Matt's fabric, but I need to take it apart and remake it smaller as it's a mens size.
A few years ago I came up with a list of names for a Jedi Temple, Naboo themed -
Theed - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Theed
Varykino - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Varykino
Gallo Mountains - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gallo_Mountains
Solleu River - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Solleu_River
(Endor base has 'Delegation of Theed' (royalty) so we may not be able to use it - and another base may have taken it by now anyway). _________________

Oh excellent I may just then do that and leave the helmet to later Might have to think of a different paint scheme as a Togruta (hooray for Clone Wars and swtor and the different coloured Togruta XD) too...
Peter you bought your fabric for the flightsuit here didn't you? Do you happen to recall where and what type it was? Would you also happen to have a scrap left over so I can colour match? It was the biggest issue in my decision to make an Imp Officer uniform- matching colours already in use. _________________ facebook | website | tumblr | dA

The suit was just made out of Orange Drill from spotlight (I think its the only Orange they have in drill), and White drill / Nylon for the flack vest. I've posted a link to the company that sells all the webbing on another thread here somewhere, I'll have to dig it out.
I'll be coming along sunday, so I can bring some offcuts if you like....however, it is a slightly brighter orange than Matts / Kristy's suits, which were purchased from overseas. _________________ New Zealands most successful webcomic:

I did buy enough orange Spotlight drill to make 2 suits, which I don't think I'll use anymore - you can see it & compare to Matt's suit etc on the weekend. _________________
