So I have a question. On average, how long does it take to hear back on whether or not a costume is approved? I have yet to submit my application but I'm just wondering....

it's hard to say exactly as it's all up to how free the Costume Judge is when you submit. I would say typically not longer than two weeks. Though, if you submit during holiday's or a busy time for the legion like during Dragon Con or Elections, I would give it a little more time.

ok stupid question, for the old repbulic generic jedi, it says it needs a covertec belt clip, well what if the lightsaber hilt that is going to be hanging from the belt is a d-ring? Would I need to have a diffrent lightsaber or will they let the d-ring slide? Just wondering.... Ben

that is a question you would have to specifically ask a costume judge. To the best of my knowledge, if your lightsaber has a D-ring then you need to submit as New Republic, as that is a standard in New and not Old. The Old Republic standard is a covertech. They made that a distinguishing factor when they originally setup the standards.
My guess is they would not bend on it since it is specifically outlined in the standards.
However, if you look at the standards, if you have an Old Republic Jedi and the only issue is that you have a D-ring instead of a Covertech, you can simply apply as New Republic and you would have everything covered.
