At some point (hopefully in the not to distant future) Dantooine Base will have three freshly minted Imperial Knights. This is a costume now being accepted by the Rebel Legion (and to my knowledge, we're the only of the major costume groups accepting it), and there's already talk of new runs of the armor (both male and now female versions). If this is something you're interested in, now's the time it seems.

If nothing else, hopefully the three of us that are going to do the costume can use this thread to share our progress with the base.

I think PCC is possible, but don't quote me on that. Just a matter of more having the fundage to complete it than the time involved.

Don't quote me on it, but I believe TDE is accepting them into there membership being an off shoot from the royal guards that are already allowed in. But again, don't quote me on that.

Would love to do one but I saw the kit and there is NO way I can fit in that armor, the arm guards could be used as shin guards on me.

As I tell everyone not gargantuan in size: ask for the female arm and hand plates. I changed mine to the female ones and they are a perfect fit. The chest and shoulders are still HUGE on me, but I'm hoping I can shape them some to make them fit better. If not, I may try ordering a set of the female shoulders and see how they fit with the male chest armor. I would really like to see the male armor done in closer to the female size. But I couldn't afford to replace all mine anyway.

I can confirm Z that TDE was the first costuming group to accept the Imperial Knight costume Smile also it had nothing to do with being an offshoot of the royal guard but due to their Force Neutrality in the beginning... as I have come to understand it they are more light then gray but as servants of the Empire... well lets just say Wink

You know me... If I had any doubt that they weren't against the Dark Side, I never would have bought it Smile

This is definitely on my list for when I have the funds again. And it means more reasons to drive down to KC and troop with some of my favorite people! Very Happy

3 hours, give or take, depending on where exactly in KC. It's really not that bad of a drive....it was awful when the 29 was closed for all the flooding. It would take us close to 5 hours. The longest it ever took was over 8 during the blizzard last February.

Shortest was a hair over two hours from our house to the airport. Very Happy

That event is St. Joe is an hour less, since it's an hour north of KC right on I-29 Wink

See, it's weird, I used to say I like trooping in Omaha or Des Moines more than here... It's getting more balanced now though it seems.

Your actually closer than I am. It takes me closer to 4 hours to get to KC most of the time.

Thus why I troop more often in Central than in the non-KC parts of my own base... well, it doesn't hurt either that I have a lot of family in Iowa for built in babysitting (more than in KC even Smile )
