Hey gang-

I'm totally frustrated looking for the "perfect can" for my respirator.

Being the crafty kinda person that I am, I think I'm going to take it back all the way and make my own. The first step - verify what the silly thing looks like! Step two - dimension it!

I'm going to be working from the photo in "Star Wars - The Complete Visual Dictionary". Luckily, someone on the internet saved me the trouble of scanning the pic in. Going through my bookmarks last night, I ran across a dimensioned drawing of the Tusken head on the Studio Creations site. I am using these dimensions to base my measurements on. If anyone knows of any inaccuracies to these dimensions, please sing out! I hate to be the purveyor of inaccurate data! Here's a link to the drawing:

Now, here's the part that I want to have someone else back me up on... The SC data lists the front of the eye as 1.25" in diameter. I loaded the scanned photo into my handy dandy CAD drafting software and scaled the image to match this size. From that point, I can dimension some things in the photo. I know, there is some foreshortening that is taking place, but these dimensions seem like they are a pretty good starting point! They also show that my current respirator is WILDLY oversized!

One quick note before turning this over to you for discussion... The dimension that is clouded at the bottom is VERY approximate because the end cap is sloped and not parallel like the other points that I have dimensioned.
