Hey guys...

I hope to be included in your ranks. I've done several events with the 501st Legion on my own and I found out about the Rebel Legion. One thing that held me back until this point was that the appearance requirement.. which was then 8 shows. Its hard for me to do that many times since I'm a DJ on the weekends and would have to work around or come up with a schedule to attend Legion events.

Ryan... Blue Ridge Base Chewbacca. Met him just recently at the librarycon 2011 that Bill Lane puts on. Its was great meeting Ryan and he has done an outstanding job on Chewbacca. I can tell he has an eye for detail like I do.

I also had my Knight Rider Kitt replica there for all to see at the event. Wish I could of had both cars there like I had the previous year. I also have a Dukes of Hazzard General Lee. I've toured with the cast and crew of both shows in the last 10 yrs doing events with them.. using my cars as back drops for their signings and pictures.

So I'm into recreating 3 of the biggest shows that were out in the late 70s and early 80s. Which was Star Wars, Dukes of Hazzard, and Knight Rider.

So in regard to parades etc. I could have my friends with the tv/movie cars come out .. ie Smokey and the Bandit, Ghostbusters, Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, Ateam etc.. to work with the legion and the Blue Ridge Base if you like.

Heres a few pics I have from the last event I've done with my Obi Wan inspired jedi.

Thanks .. and I hope to be considered for formal status as I have everything I think for formal dress. Also have every saber just about from master replicas.. and they have been converted by ultrasabers.

Thanks for your time for reading this post. I hope you can consider me for your chapter of the legion.

Thank you for your consideration

If your wondering where Ryan was at.. he already took his off before we did the group photo at the end. I'm sure it gets hot in there.

Welcome, I am new here as well, still working on getting the stuff for my NR Jedi. I am a non-active member of the 501st Carolina Garrison, but working on finishing my Imperial Officer. I lOVE that KITT... how much did THAT cost?

Thanks.. heres my cars from last year librarycon 2010.

The General Lee is fully signed by the cast and also stunt team.
Kitt, just getting him on the road.. only has a few. But he has the most important one. The guy who built Kitt and the Back to the Future delorean. Michael Scheffe.

Kitt does talk !! just doesn't drive by himself. Laughing

Cool

Also, I would love to do a Kyle Katarn costume.. since I have the beard.
Would have to come up with something for the correct saber hilt though.

I have lots of money tied up in my cars. The General Lee has been appraised for $100,000 with the signatures and history. Its been on several shows for TNN and CMT also. It was on Country Music Countdown last.

BTW... heres another event I did with the 501st at the Star Wars show in Raliegh. With my other Jedi outfit.. my OBI is more accurate.. but this one is Anakin inspired.

never forget to take a jedi's weapon. Won't have me for long. Wink

Hi Chad!

Welcome to the boards. I was a faithful watcher of the original Knight Rider (did that dreadful scam of a remake ever happen even?).

If you are looking for the Costume Standards for Kyle here they are:

http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8883

In here are the requirements for Old Republic Jedi:

http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8882

8 troops a year requirement? Surprised Shocked Who told you that? It's one troop a year.

Let us know how we can help!

~Jada

Yeah.. Ryan set me straight on that. Its been a while, but I believe it was 8 total.. a few formal and the rest informal events.

Thanks for the welcome.. hopefully I'll be approved formal for my OBI. Worked hard on it. I had a seamstress make it for me from all my measurements, drawings and photos. Its suppose to be a close as I can get to the original material I could get from what they used on the movies for Obi Wan

I have two full Jedi belts as well.. w/ full jedi capsules and pouches. It would nice to make me a jedi communictor one day. That made out of a flip cell phone?

Just remember to take really good (I mean excellent!) pictures of your costume. The judges will want to see:

Full length front, both sides, back - cloak off
Full length front and back - Cloak on
Half body front (for membership placecard in profile)
close up of belt with items on it
Lightsaber
boots

Also, some people think they need to write a fan fiction story for their costume/character description. What the judges want is any particular information you feel they should know - machined lightsaber yourself using X, Y, Z materials, had the cloak made by a seamstress, made the belt with X, Y, Z or purchased it from _____.

If you have any questions let me know.

Mr. Green

Got more of my formal stuff in.. Guess I need to take a pic and formally submit it now. Only thing I don't have is a comlink or jedi breathing apparatus. Have everything else.

PLEASE let me know if any events come up in Fayetteville. Want to troop with you if I can. Especially when you all do the Fireants stuff. Just let me know. Looking forward to meeting everyone in the base.

You don't need these for Formal.

Here are the Old Republic Jedi standards:

Generic Jedi

1. Earth tones meaning browns or any shade of brown outer tunic
2. Earth tone tabards (must extend below obi in front - aprox 1/2 way between obi & bottom of outer tunic / can end at obi in rear)
3. Earth tone obi/sash
4. Belt with a wide leather main belt with a covertec (or similar), thinner secondary belt on top of the main belt, and a buckle. Thinner secondary belt cannot be loose or "sag". No black belts accepted.
5. Lightsaber(No toy sabers)
6. Brown Boots (leather, suede, pleather) must rise at least to the calf, but not above the knee. No rubber boots or black boots allowed. No visible laces.
7. Pants or skirt
8. No visible t-shirts

Formal Requirements:
You must have at least three items from the list to be formal.

1. Large earth-toned outer robe
2. Belt pouches
3. Full or false inner tunic (collar only / full & mock turtlenecks ok)
4. Food pellets (at least one set of 4)

If you have 3 of the formal requirement items you can apply.
