Just a heads up to Rick regarding your boots...

they are too tall for the RFT costume...
so...
when doing formal events...
you will need to blouse your pants over the top of the boots to make them appear shorter...

Wink

I am approving your costume with that caveat...

it sometimes takes awhile though to get the application photo photoshopped...

Wink

You will LOVE wearing your RFT to events...
especially when there are several RFTs at the event...

Thank you crystal.

My dad used to work leather back in the 70s so I learned from him. Belts are very easy to make for under $100. More like $75. This winter I hope to perfect a more accurate leather pouch.

I'm hoping to attend seymor this weekend.

My pics and app will hopefully go in this week. I finally got my boots from Daniel/jodos productions after an almost 18 week wait.

Just a heads up to all with regard to Old Republic Generic Jedi..

Formal requirement for lightsaber clip is a covertec style clip..the costume standard reads
"covertec or similar because the original covertec clips from Episode 1 are getting hard to find. There are other options out there now that are similar.

like this one..

http://www.amazon.com/Covertec-WIPS-spare-belt-clip/dp/B000I0DFV8

I see you have a d-ring style clip on your belt - d-rings and d-ring clips are New Republic.

Here is a copy and paste of the Old Republic Generic Jedi standards:

Generic Jedi

1. Earth tones meaning browns or any shade of brown outer tunic
2. Earth tone tabards (must extend below obi in front - aprox 1/2 way between obi & bottom of outer tunic / can end at obi in rear)
3. Earth tone obi/sash
4. Belt with a wide leather main belt with a covertec (or similar), thinner secondary belt on top of the main belt, and a buckle. Thinner secondary belt cannot be loose or "sag". No black belts accepted.
5. Lightsaber(No toy sabers)
6. Brown Boots (leather, suede, pleather) must rise at least to the calf, but not above the knee. No rubber boots or black boots allowed. No visible laces.
7. Pants or skirt
8. No visible t-shirts

Formal Requirements:
You must have at least three items from the list to be formal.

1. Large earth-toned outer robe
2. Belt pouches
3. Full or false inner tunic (collar only / full & mock turtlenecks ok)
4. Food pellets (at least one set of 4)

Yeah I read about that but wasn't sure. My d-ring just slides right off as it's not riveted on. I don't care which way I go. Old or new is fine.

I can simply slide the d-ring off and replace it with the covertec.
