Looks like we have a few interested people. I put a blurb in the newsletter that should go out today or tomorrow to see if there are any other interested clones out there.

Does someone want to take point on this and get things started?

Thanks!

We've got the armor party tomorrow, Janine's bringing her clone to start. I've got a kit for Tenime and another for myself. There should be at least ten new clones in the next few months locally!

I know that Janine and you will be a big help to all the new clones with regard to weathering those clones also.

I am having my own one man "armor party" at home...lol..
I have multiple pieces that I have promised to others...

AND...
one thing you can mention to the group is that now that I am an expert in Kamas..lol..I can sew them for those who would need them.

BUT...
tell them that they would need to pick out their own fabric...
I know there are quite a number of color variations on the Kamas....

The blue trim that I used on yours was "quilt binding" which is found in the "notions" area (with all the other seam binding and what not) and comes in a LOT of different colors. So they can pick out the fabric for the body color of the Kama...then head to find quilt binding for the trim color...they will need two packages...
but..
all that stuff can be addressed later...lol..
first they have to build the armor...

Very Happy

It ended up just being Janine, myself and Chris Tenime working on clones.

Tenime will be doing Waxer from season 1 of Clone Wars, so no kama needed. Janine will probably need one for Keeli, the clone she's doing. I have no idea who I'll be doing yet. We didn't even finish doing the rough trimming on our armor...

Awesome...

Where I do love armor parties...
I think it is really difficult to get work done...there is usually sooooo much going on around you that it is hard to concentrate on what you are doing.

They are GREAT for new folks with lots of questions though...

I do agree with you. I think Rob and I wanted to go not only to give Tenime his armor, but to help him start it.

So what all would we need to do to get a clone squad started?

I am trying to get the other other Robert to submit for RL with his Cody, too.

Well...
below is the Clone Detachment Charter..
The long and the short of it is that you need to contact some of the other Clones in the Base to get the minimum of 3...
yourself and two others...

You also have to make sure that the others have "signed up" for the Detachment...it is kind of a matter of checks and balances that people are not added to a Squad that don't wish to be in one.

To sign up for the Clone Detachment....you have to go here....

http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25144

You more or less have to either ask the other guys if they signed up for the CoR detachment already...or scan the 7 pages of the thread to see if they are there.

Sadly...as we know...Sean is moving to Ohio....so he is out..

So far the only Clones we have here are:

Rudy (Colt)
Phil (sky jammer)
Trent (CC585)
Tom Schaefer (118)
River

Here is the charter and application...

The Rebel Legion (RL) authorizes the formation of a Clone Trooper Detachment to be named, Clones of the Republic (COR). This Charter serves to define the guidelines for the operation of this Clone Trooper costume group.

ARTICLE I – MISSION
ARTICLE II – MEMBERSHIP
ARTICLE III – OFFICERS
ARTICLE IV – ELECTIONS
ARTICLE V – ORGANIZATION
ARTICLE VI – SQUADS & FIRE TEAMS
REGULATION 1 – Formation
REGULATION 2A – Base Squads/Fire Teams
REGULATION 2B – Squad/Fire Team Administration
REGULATION 3A – Unit Designation & Crest
REGULATION 3B – Nomenclature & Sources
REGULATION 3C – Copywrited Materials
REGULATION 4A – Squad/Fire Team Membership
REGULATION 4B – Squad/Fire Team Ratification
ARTICLE VII – HONORARY SQUADS
REGULATION 1 – Honorary Squads
REGULATION 2 – Honorary Squad Formation & Ratification
REGULATION 3 – Honorary Squad Administration
APPLICATION TO FORM A COR SQUAD/ FIRE TEAM
APPLICATION TO FORM A COR HONORARY SQUAD/FIRE TEAM

ARTICLE I – MISSION

The mission and purpose of this detachment is five-fold:

(1) To promote Clone Trooper Costumes and their Standards throughout the Rebel Legion; and
(2) To maintain and advise the Legion Administrative Council on existing
and future Clone Trooper Costume Standards, including, but not limited to, membership, categories, and COR Charter revisions; and
(3) To provide the Legion Administrative Council with qualified individuals for the approval of all future Clone Trooper costumes, and to provide a qualified pool of candidates to be available for events specifically requesting Clone Troopers; and
(4) To promote the creation and continued existence of costumed Base Squads/Fire Teams; and
(5) To provide a network for the dissemination of information and resources pertaining to Clone Trooper costuming.

All members of the COR are expected to be available as a resource to assist new Clone Trooper costumers towards the completion of their costumes and to advise the COR on any changes needed to the standards of all costumes falling under the Detachment.

ARTICLE II – MEMBERSHIP

The Detachment will include all Rebel Legion members with approved Clone Trooper costumes. Costumes that are NOT included in the COR are those whose main costume falls into another recognized RL Costume Group. Examples include: Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi in full or partial clone armor, Clone Wars Saesee Tinn in clone armor, or any other Jedi that wears clone armor parts/accessories.
The standards for these costumes are found in the Costume Archive section of the Rebel Legion website.

ARTICLE III – OFFICERS

The Detachment’s Command Staff will consist of a Detachment Commanding Officer (DCO) and Detachment Executive Officer (DXO) The DCO or the DXO will serve as a Membership Officer to ensure that the standards for these costuming types are upheld. The DCO may also be requested to serve as a Legion Costume Representative for this costume category by the Legion Membership Officer. Members of the Legion Administrative Council may not serve as DCO.

Each Base with the appropriate number of Clone Trooper costumes (3) may form a Squad/Fire Team within the Rebel Legion. Each Squad/Fire Team must have a Squad/Fire Team Leader (SL/FTL). Any member of the Legion with an appropriate approved Clone Trooper costume may serve as SL/FTL as long as they are a member of the Squad/Fire Team’s Base. This Unit maintains a current list of members and their designations, the Squad/Fire Team's official name, and the Squad/Fire Team's logo for that specific Base.

COR Command Staff and Squad/Fire Team Leaders will not receive any special powers or duties. They will not be given access to the RL Command forums, or form Rebel Legion policy. The COR Command Staff will be granted “Moderator” status on the RL Clone Trooper Forums and all sub-forums. The purpose of these offices is as an advisory body to the Rebel Legion Council. Any major changes to the operation of the Detachment and how it interacts with or reflects on the RL (such as changes to this Charter) will be forwarded by the COR Command Staff to the Legion Council for ratification before implementation.

ARTICLE IV – ELECTIONS

The Detachment Commanding Officer will be elected on an annual basis to coincide with yearly Rebel Legion elections that take place in September. The COR Executive Officer will be appointed by the COR Commanding Officer. Detachment Membership Officer will be appointed by COR Command Staff if needed. If Detachment Membership Officer or Base Squad/Fire Team Leaders are no longer able to fulfill their duties or have been absent for an extended period of time, their replacements will be chosen by the COR Command Staff in a timely manner. Squad/Fire Team Leaders are elected into office by their Base Squad/Fire Team on an annual basis to coincide with yearly elections and must be ratified by the Base Commander. Should any issues arise with the abilities of the Base Squad/Fire Team Commander to fulfill their duty they can be removed from their office by their Base Commander, with the consensus of the Squad/Fire Team, and with consultation of the COR Command Staff. In this matter, Squad/Fire Team command defaults to the COR Command Staff until a suitable replacement candidate is found. Any removals of any Detachment officers must be reported to the Captain of the Guard and Legion Council.

ARTICLE V – ORGANIZATION

Legion Administrative Council/Rebel Command Council
|
|
Clones of the Republic DCO/DXO
|
|
Squad/Fire Team (S/FT) Leader Honor Squad/Fire Team

ARTICLE VI – SQUADS & FIRE TEAMS

Individual Bases and Outposts can form “Squads” or “Fire Teams,” which would be the local equivalent of a Pilot Squadron. The COR is responsible for Official Squads/Fire Teams within individual bases. Squad/Fire Team requirements and regulations under the Detachment are as follows:

• REGULATION 1 – Formation
A Base needs approval from its CO and at least 3 formal costumed members who agree on the Squad/Fire Team name to formally request Squad/Fire Team status. An application for this purpose can be found below and/or can be requested from the COR Command Staff.

• REGULATION 2A – Squads/Fire Teams
Squads/Fire Teams are Base-wide and are organized either by the Base as a whole with a mix of all types of Clone Trooper costumes or according to Clone Trooper costume type. In other words, within the Base there may be one Squad/Fire Team Base-wide or there may be one Squad/Fire Team for each of the Clone Trooper costume types. Squad/Fire Teams will function more as a part of the Base than COR.

• REGULATION 2B – Squad/Fire Team Administration
Any member of the Legion with an approved Clone Trooper costume may serve as Squad/Fire Team Leader (SL/FTL) but needs the approval of the Detachment Command Staff and the Base Command.

• REGULATION 3A – Unit Designation & Crest
Each Squad/Fire Team must have a unique Unit Designation (Squad Unit Name) in order to apply for Squad/Fire Team formation. Squad/Fire Team names and logos should fit within provable Star Wars nomenclature and graphical elements. The names of the following Squad/Fire Team Unit Names are restricted by virtue of use in the Official Star Wars Universe (i.e. movies, published materials, etc.) or previous use by the Rebel Legion: Omega Squad, Page’s Commandos, Katarn Commandos, and every name currently in use by existing Divisions and/or Base Squads/Fire Teams.

Squad/Fire Team logos or crests are not required for Squad/Fire Team formation. However it is recommended that a Squad/Fire Team crest be created at the Squad/Fire Team earliest convenience.

• REGULATION 3B – Nomenclature & Sources
Use of items, names and symbols by the Squad/Fire Team from within the Star Wars universe are allowed and encouraged. Use of items and symbols found in the real world, but not mentioned in the Star Wars universe can also be considered for Unit Designations and crests, as long as the use of this material does not violate any other trademark or copyright (i.e. Nike’s “Swoosh”, etc.) or ARTICLE VI/REGULATION 3A of the COR Charter.

• REGULATION 3C – Copywrited Material
Use of images from other copywrited material (other than LFL material) is prohibited. The latitude given to the Rebel Legion by LFL is not universally shared by all entities. However, if a copywrited image has been altered enough so that it's not immediately identifiable as belonging to another company, entity or genre, then it may be considered.

• REGULATION 4A – Squad/Fire Team Membership
Being a Clone Trooper in the COR does not guarantee a slot in a Base Squad/Fire Team. A Trooper must apply to their Squad/Fire Team Leader for acceptance into a Base Squad/Fire Team.

• REGULATION 4B – Squad/Fire Team Ratification
Final approval of the Squad/Fire Team name and crest as well as their
completed formations are made by the COR Command Staff pending
review of materials and application under ARTICLE VI/REGULATIONS 3A,
3B, and 3C.

ARTICLE VII – HONORARY SQUADS

• REGULATION 1 – Honorary Squads
There exists the possibility to create Legion-wide Squads. These Honorary Squads have no Base allegiance but report directly to COR Command Staff. (See ARTICLE V.) These are considered sub-groups that will have limited scope and will not interfere with the COR, the Base Command or the formation of Base Squads/Fire Teams. Honorary Squads allow for individuals who share the interest of a particular type of costume to join together into a unit.

• REGULATION 2 – Honorary Squad Formation & Ratification
COR members may apply to the COR Command Staff for the creation of an Honorary Squad. Proposals must be made in writing via the Application to form an Honorary Squad, specify Trooper type and include a Unit Designation, proposed leader (if any) and a description of its reason for existing. Honorary Squads will be extremely limited and approval will be rare.

Honorary Squads must follow the same Designation and Crest rules as laid down in ARTICLE VI/REGULATIONS 3A-3C.

• REGULATION 3 – Honorary Squad Administration
Any proposed Honorary Squad would be tentatively headed up by a Squad Leader (SL) ratified by the COR Command Staff. The leadership office of the Honorary Squad Leader is considered to be on “at-will” status and any term of service is determined by the COR Command Staff.

I e-mailed Rudy, Tom, River and Trent on FB. I don't know Phil, but I pmed him. Also, the other other Robert tried to submit his application today, but his computer was being goofy. Hopefully by tomorrow.

I also dropped a link to here in one of the threads for the MWG clone army. See if we can snag some other defectors...

Sign me up for this. I would love to do anything to make this happen, if it isn't already.

Christmas Leave is going to be BUSY for me! Thanks for the link Rob for sending this.

The helmet is all shades of fragged up. I need to get a Mon Cal but I could rock one at any time. I am silly for never registering when I hit 18. So I guess I just need that for a good RFT.
